11/14/2013 Thursday Weigh-in Thread...All welcome

Hope all is well with Belle and Jan since they usually have started the thread by this time of day. Thought someone should get us going in their absence....so here we go.....

 

First off....congrats in advance to all who lost this week!

Secondly, hang in there and focus on doing better for those that did not lose or that gained.

 

Cast was removed from leg yesterday and am now in a boot for a month. (Yes, that means I will be in a boot on the cruise!) So no walking exercise for me for at least a month. Doctor did say I can ride a stationary bike. That is good news. However, my bike is in the basement which is 22 stairs below (and 22 stairs coming back up...lol). So once I get accustomed to walking on the leg (with the boot) since I have been non-weight bearing on it for 5.5 weeks....and comfortable doing the stairs....I can ride the bike.

 

Now for the drumroll...today was the first day in almost 6 weeks that I could weigh...actually pretty happy that I only gained 2.5 pounds. Not happy that it was a gain at all but was fully convinced it would be a 10 pound gain with the types of food I was eating (friends and family cooking or having to have delivery, etc). So even though it was the wrong direction...I am pleased with the number. Lol.

Good Morning - I was behind schedule this morning!!! Thanks for starting the thread!

 

I am down 1.0# this morning and I now have 0.7# to go to be normal or 10.7# to get to be where I want. It is so slow ... but there is progress.

Skiergirl, congrats on getting the cast off.

 

When my hubby tore his achilles tendon last year he was in a boot when we took a cruise for my birthday. It's kind of a bummer but it's not the worst thing.

 

I wish you a speedy recovery.

 

Jan, congarts on your loss.

 

I stayed the same. Too bad, I thought I tried so hard. Maybe next week I'll have a loss.

Yes, each Thursday someone (usually Belle or Jan) start the thread with that day's date so everyone knows it is the newest thread. Folks post their weekly losses (or gains). Most of us have cruises booked but that isn't a requirement. Anyone wanting to lose weight and have someone to "be accountable to" is welcome to participate.

Thanks so much. It will put a little damper on my cruise activities (mainly onshore) but certainly won't ruin it.

You'll be at the goal you want in no time. Congrats

on all your hard work.

 

Diana..You'll lose next week, you'll so close to goal.

Staying the same is so much better than a gain.

 

Sofia..WE weigh-in every Thursday to keep ourselves

accountable. We're all trying to lose weight for our

cruises whenever they happen. Or maybe we had a cruise

and we just keep coming back every week. We all understand the

struggle.

 

Ozark..Hope you had a good cruise. You'll get the 2 off soon.

 

Kona..How are you doing? Did you make the 20?

 

Hope everyone comes in to weigh in the next couple of days.

Miss you all.

 

Saw shootr came back..good to see you. Doing good on

your weight loss. Love to see all your good pictures.

Excellent. I really like this idea. Well I lost six pounds since I last weighed myself which a month ago if I am honest, just before my trip to Venice. Slowly but surely ill get there. There is a long way to go.

Glad to have you join us. Some of us still have a long way to go while several of the "regulars" are near goal. I am one that still has a long way to go!

I had a good week. Lost 1.4 for a total of 20.2. Glad to get over that 20 lb hump. Plus I got a sticker at my weight watchers meeting. :D

 

My daughter gave birth to a granddaughter last weekend so was a bit crazed and wasn't sure what would happen.

 

Tomorrow we are celebrating DHs birthday with Chinese food. I have found if I splurge just once a week and get right back on plan I still lose. Been on WW for 10 weeks and have lost every week.

 

Hope everyone is doing well. 9 weeks until we cruise and a goal of 10 more pounds.

Been weighing in on Mondays, but travel now has me doing it early sometimes.

 

Down 2lbs to 196, 16 to go by March 01, 2014.

 

This weeks exercise: Horseback riding with my daughter! (And hiking conveyors at copper mines!)
