Turn over of back to back went smoothly. Nice to have a few hours with cellular service. We are around 425 guests for the segment. The muster is taking place as I type. We were not required to attend the second muster of our voyage.

An amazing thing happened to us personally today. A friend called and was asking about the past segment. Then she inquired whether we changed cabins. I replied no and then my cabin door bell rang. I went to the door and opened it to find our friends standing there. They decided to surprise us and booked two weeks ago and kept it secret.

It's sure to be another fabulous segment. In 45 minutes we ahead out to sea. Dining in Seishen tonight with our friends, after the CC Meet and Mingle.

This is interesting and good news. On my most recent Silversea voyage with multiple segments, all passengers (including those in transit) were required to attend each muster.

Is this a new policy? I hope so. I have attended countless musters, and find it a drag to attend multiple musters on back-to-backs. I don't forget in ten days what I heard ten days earlier. :)

Poor Fran!!!

We sailed right on time tonight. Great and busy sail away party, well attended CC party (9)

Enjoyed our dinner in Seishin. Afterwards we headed for the Panorama Lounge and enjoyed the back drop of the evening lights of Fort Lauderdale. The club was surprisingly busy with the dance floor filled.

I suspect this cruise is going to be active. Dress code was casual but, I was a bit surprised. Hope that improves. Younger demographics. 50-60 range.

Tomorrow at sea and formal night.

Thanks Susan. I just hate to think of myself as middle aged!

Woke up to steady rain and rolling seas. It quickly changed and the sun is shining bright with warm temps. The seas. Well, it is pretty windy. I was able to get my run in on the upper deck. There was probably another dozen walkers. Most chairs on the lower pool deck are occupied. I guess if I was leaving freezing temperatures the day before, it's the first thing I would take advantage of too.

I'm very impressed with this jogging track. Even covered with water, it is not at all slippery.

Missed the first enrichment lecture of the day but, hoping to attend

Dr. Thomas Jones talk "Sky Walking: An Astronaut's Journey" this

afternoon.

Thanks for taking us along this week! I am enjoying your commentary!

Hopefully the weather will improve as the week progresses.

We board next Friday. Other than the CD change, do you know if they are expecting any other crew changes in terms of key personnel? [Key being those who have a lot of passenger interaction.]

I'll check into it for you. Forgot to mention, Santa's Elves were busy late last evening as we observed the Christmas trees going up. This morning, noticed the beautiful garland on the stair rails. Aside from the pool (which was filled and the age I'm now dropping into the 40's :) ), I haven't been around the ship.

Duct tape -- thanks so much for recommending Michael for the tapas tour in Malaga. He was more than wonderful and we couldn't believe the fabulous food! If we go back, we will definitely do it again and I'm recommending him to all my friends and my travel agent too.

Yesterday was another great day on board. Beautiful weather for an early morning run. Then it was off for a day of "Salsa & Salsa" in Costa Maya.

We went to a local beach hotel where we were given fresh ingredients and instructed on making 2 types of salsa and then guacamole. It was fabulous. After snacking away, many of us got on the dance floor and learned the salsa. It was a fun experience. Many then chose to take a dip in the gulf before heading back to the ship. Attended another great lecture on space.

Great early show "Signed, Sealed and Delivered", followed by a delicious outdoor meal at the Grill. We've had unbelievable fresh fish. Then it was on to karaoke and dancing till 1:30. I'm going to need a vacation from my vacation.

The guests on this segment are great fun. Quite a lively bunch. Anxiously awaiting the deck party. It will be a wild one!

In Santo Tomas, Guatemala today. It was quite smoky around the port and woke to that smell. Reminded me a lot of the Amazon. Decided it was wise to run on the treadmill instead. Not doing any excursion today so taking the opportunity to do some laundry. Although we get free laundry in the Silver Suite, we send out very little. Decisions for the day will be selecting 2015 voyages :) Tonight's dinner is in La Terrazza.

Snorkeling around Belize tomorrow :)

Bill, rent a POD and fly to Florida :) Agreed. We are having a lot of fun :)

For those who asked, the only person leaving the ship (to my knowledge) is the Captain who is going on vacation until joining the Whisper in Valparasio.

Ran into rains after leaving Santo Tomas.

Venetian party tonight. Many with over 700 days and one couple reaching 958.

If the couple with 958 days is Heinz & Ellen, please say hello to them from Bob & Victoria.

Glad you're having such a nice trip. Enjoy the warm weather. It's snowing for the third day here.

Belize snorkel trip ended poorly. Sadly, one of our group of 38 suffered what we were told was a heart attack while in the water. The tour company got her out swiftly and rushed her to shore 45 minutes away. Her Husband was still with us as no one knew who's spouse was whisked away. He had been brought back to the boat by a kayak as he was having trouble as well. It was quite nerve wrecking to watch every passenger, one by one, return to the boat. The escort boat that took her to shore returned and took the Husband and ships escort to shore. There has been no word on the status but, it doesn't look good. We snorkeled a reef off shore and the currents were extremely strong. Personally, I am a strong swimmer and felt uncomfortable under these conditions. We were taken to an island for beach time but, of course, all of us were quite concerned and thoughts were with this couple.

Last segment we had one medical evacuation. Leaving for the second segment, we had the coast guard meet the ship while another person was taken off. Then the day started with yet another passenger falling and being evacuated. Fortunately, she was able to return to the ship late today.

Victoria, I will send your message. I'm sure it's the same couple :)

Latest update upon our departure. The 58 year old female remained unresponsive and was in intensive/critical care. Determining whether she can be transported out of the country later.

Oh, dear, that does not sound good. So sorry to hear this, both for her and her husband.

Woke to rolling and choppy seas. Good morning for packing :(

Deck party tonight which is always a great time. Key West tomorrow.

This has been a fabulous cruise. Having our friends on board was special. The crew is genuine, hard working and eager to please. Our Butler and Housekeeper are a joy. There is a surprise waiting for us daily. From balloon characters to rose petal bubble baths. Great service for in room dining and also for our cocktail parties. What we didn't think of, our butler did. Including offering up popcorn for our football game!

Dining has again been a high scorer on this segment. We've had great tables and super service. I am hard pressed to find a single negative when it comes to food and service.

The Silver Suite at 742 square feet is the best accommodations we have ever had. It is so conducive for entertaining, with the ability to close off the entire bedroom area. Love Love Love the walk through closet. You never find yourself tripping over your room mate. The only minor negative I found is the shower. The bathroom is huge but, the shower is oddly configured. It would have been nicer to have it be more deep. The balcony with two sliding glass doors is so spacious. You can dine, relax on the lounge or sit in a chair and watch the sea go by, without having to move out of the way of anyone.

The Spirit is a lovely vessel. I found it easy to navigate. Prefer the showroom design on the Whisper/Cloud but, the acoustics were superb. Another personal favorite of mine is the oval shaped tables in the dining room. It makes for intimate conversation at tables for 4. Dancing in the Panorama Lounge is great and the seating is fabulous with comfortable "barcalounger" style chairs. It's become our favorite place to hang out. Having access to the outdoor balcony with it's comfortable seating and piped out music is really cruising! We are here to enjoy the sea too. There is so much staff everywhere. You never have to wait to be served. Eating at the Grill aka Hot Rocks is so nice. Warm evenings and salty air, along with live music. What's not to like?

So excited to know that I have 5 more Silver Sea Cruises to look forward to.

deck party was a rain out. Too bad it is so much fun. La Terrazza delivered as usual. Today was a port day in Key West. It's a town that doesn't require a shore excursion as you can book anything right at the port. Tonight we are bobbing our way to Fort Lauderdale.

Had a great day with our friends. Tonight, we dined in Stars and finished the evening with dancing in the Panorama Lounge. We left a full house at 11:30 but, i figured I danced away my dinner in calories.

Tomorrow we leave the Spirit. Overall a fantastic great two segments. Mike Witt is an excellent CD and you will be lucky to sail with him. Less than 5 months and we are back at sea. Going to miss our International Hostess the Mostest! They were great fun. Along with Alfredo in the Lounge. That guy can sing a range that blows me away!
