I sailed way back and all I needed was the photo. I copied a few and sent them in and was credited with my missing cruises.

The oldest pic was in front of the life ring with Mardi Gras on it. That was way back when dinosaurs were still walking the earth and sea monsters swam the seas!

Thanks belle2 for the suggestion. I did send them a copy of a Carnival picture as we were disembarking at San Juan. It had the name of the ship & everything on it. They replied that it had to be an "embarkation photo" to get credit....give me a break!!!

Anyway, enjoy your free cruise...I'm always happy for people who get nice surprises in life! :)

KYWEST- fight it... I got credit for a 1990 cruise on Carnivale by sending them a photo with the date on it and the name of the ship, even though it wasn't the embarkation photo... I'd escalate, and if necessary, send the details to John Heald- maybe he can help!

Hello...I just did the free cruise this past September on Pride and got the vifp points for that cruise. My offer was thru the casino and I had ten cruises to choose from varying from inside to balcony. We got an extended balcony on the Pride for just the port and taxes fees but they gave both my DH and myself the points for it.

Casino cruise freebies come through the casino dept., and are totally different in you 'pay' port fees and taxes and you gamble!

I cruised on a free cabin offer in October and did get points. Didn't upgrade (offer was for balcony cabin). It was a Players Club offer as a past guest but not a formal Premier Cruise. I could choose from about any cruise.

I did receive an actual Premier Cruise offer for a free (interior) cabin and will go on that in April.

I would think I would get the points for that. Right now I have 21 points and noticed a couple of weeks ago that this upcoming cruise is showing as Gold. If I'm not supposed to get points for the Premier cruise since it's a free cabin, I should still be red (<25points). So we'll see. Doesn't matter a lot to me.

All Casino offers will get points, the freebies from VIPF without upgrading won't!

I cruised on the Festivale in 1988. I believe I sent carnival a photo from the cruise. It was Not the embarkation photo. They gave me the credit for the 7 day cruise with no problem.

Also,I recently took a free cruise from Tropicana. Was offered an upgrade to ocean view for 50.00 per cabin,I accepted that. Then on day of the cruise, I was upgraded to a balcony for free. I received the points for the 5 day cruise.
