Lanyard

Recommended Posts

Can anyone recommend a lanyard or any other kind of holder for my seapass card, credit cards, cash and cell phone to use while cruising? They give the kids a lanyard that holds their seapass card but I carry more things than that holds.

If I were you I would look for something before you get on board because they really don't carry anything like you described and even if they did, you would pay a great deal more for it. Look in a luggage store ir the purse department of a department store. or if you know someone who is crafty, they could make something for you. Good luck.

We bought this is one of the on-board shops. It holds our sea-pass card, money, credit card and still has room for your cell phone, although our cell phone stays in the cabin's safe once we board the ship.

Why do people carry cell phones when on a cruise ? Since I carry one 24/7 for work .I'm glad to leave mine locked in the cabin safe.

I purchased lanyards at the dollar store before we left so that ours would be cheaper (but you could get them from the casino for free in the past don't know if they still have the stretchy keychain lanyard) Around the ship I never carried anything but the sea pass on shore I took a small backpack that I could stuff our things into along with a bottle or two of water.

Several cruises ago I bought a RCI lanyard purse?(about 4" square) with a zipper compartment on front and clear plastic backing pocket. Easy way to carry room pass, excursion tickets, lipstick, Kleenex etc.

Because its my camera, alarm clock, music player and other things that come in handy. Once I board the ship, its turned to airplane mode and doesnt come out of that until the ship returns and I disembark.

If you want your sea pass to work, don't put it next to or near your cell phone or a magnet on a purse. I learned the hard way a couple times when my card was de-magnitized.

I use a lanyard that clips onto my waistband. I bought one on board after I left my other one at home. The tops I wear cover it.

Same. I also attach a really small watch/clock to the waist lanyard - one that normally hangs on a necklace. That way I don't have to carry my phone to know what time it is.

I carry my cell phone while on board since it's smaller and lighter than my camera and takes decent photos. There are passport holders you can purchase to wear around your neck while on board for your key card, etc. REI and travel stores carry them.
