taramara Posted August 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2014 (edited) Hi, Having just sailed Oasis of the Seas I need help finding a program that I had seen maybe a year ago. I cannot find it anywhere on the internet. It was a program maybe on travel or discover channel but it was about what it takes to operate a ship this size. In the beginning they showed how people check in and what they do when one forgets a passport/birth certificate for a kid,etc and how the oasis supervisor goes up to them and gives them the bad news that they cannot sail and also how they bring all the food on board and than they show what it takes to cook all the food in a behind the scene look at how the dishes are prepared for such a massive ship and all other areas like laundry. Basically what it takes to run the ship from beginning to the end. The only program that I can find is Mighty Ships and No it is not that one because I saw that one and it is different. This was more recent maybe a 1yr-2yr I wish for the life in me I knew the name of this particular program. I want to show it to my dad who also accompanied us on the cruise and is just marveled by it and wanted to see the show. I told him I will try to find it for him but no luck so far. Anyone remember the name. Thank you in advance :) Edited August 11, 2014 by taramara

taramara Posted August 11, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted August 11, 2014 There was a programme over here in the UK.... don't know if it was syndicated.... it was called : Paul Merton: World’s Biggest Cruise Ship No not this one. It was a very detailed show like when people were checking in at the terminal for oasis and how they deal with the people who do not have the right documents. Also how they prepare the foods and desserts behind the scenes and how the foods are brought on ship and how they check all the vegetables before they board the ship. I think the whole show was about what it takes to prepare before the ship sails to the very last customer on board.

Daghis Posted August 11, 2014 #18 Share Posted August 11, 2014 After watching this program (many times) before my last Allure of the Seas cruise, I admit that I geeked out a bit when I saw Eunice Hernandez in the terminal before boarding. After she passed by and said hello as she walked by, I said "I saw you on TV!" She responded, "I get that a lot!" :D

FRANKM Posted August 12, 2014 #25 Share Posted August 12, 2014 It was fresh in my mind cause I had seen in early July on TV. I am on a mission to meet Edna the Housekeeper in that show. She will be on Quantum. You are welcome :) Enjoy We met Edna (Edna Pili) on Oasis in Aug 2012. She attended a event for suite guests. Very friendly and energetic lady. I asked if she always had trouble with the bed deliveries. She said every cruise there is something with them. You will love her.
