Mississippian Posted September 19, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 19, 2014 Does anyone know whether Princess -- more particularly the Emerald out of Houston -- carries the SEC Network? That's all.
Working 2 Cruise Posted September 19, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2014 Not that I have ever seen! Princess carries several mainstream channels...
Rare Host CJSKIDS Posted September 19, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 19, 2014 Being that it's a new channel this year, I'm not sure they do.

Astro Flyer Posted September 19, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 19, 2014 Princess has only shown games broadcast on ESPN channels including some network games so it's very doubtful if they'll have the SEC Network.
paul929207 Posted September 19, 2014 #6 Share Posted September 19, 2014 You can always stream the games on the computer if it is that important to see them live. Of course, it will cost $100 to $200 per game
aikensbest Posted September 19, 2014 #7 Share Posted September 19, 2014 SEC is only carried by certain companies, paying a royalty. According to my list not available on any cruise line

Our household is facing the same crisis. Texas A&M vs. lsu on Thanksgiving. We are on the November 23 Emerald.
golfb4cruzing Posted September 19, 2014 #9 Share Posted September 19, 2014 I thought you were asking Stock Exchange Channel. I was puzzled for a moment.
Loonbeam Posted September 19, 2014 #10 Share Posted September 19, 2014 As far as I know, they have no deals with the maritime sat providers, so Princess couldn't purchase if they wanted to yet.

beanersts Posted September 19, 2014 #12 Share Posted September 19, 2014 (edited) Main ESPN channel available if satellite is working in staterooms. NFL games were shown on board on MUTS in Alaska Sun & Mon, but no sat. college games. The NFL games on MUTS, and I am sure it would be about the same on the emerald You might get the Colts game. We saw ATL vs NO, SF vs Dallas, and Mon game was spotty Edited September 19, 2014 by beanersts
Thrak Posted September 19, 2014 #13 Share Posted September 19, 2014 Try the cigar bar (different names depending on your ship type) and you just may see the games you are interested in if at all possible.
Mississippian Posted September 20, 2014 Author #14 Share Posted September 20, 2014 I'm interested in the Ole Miss/Mississippi State game. Ordinarily this game wouldn't be of much national interest, but Ole Miss is playing real well this year, but the winner of that match-up seems to have no relation to national rankings. OCruisers Posted September 20, 2014 #15 Share Posted September 20, 2014 Not being able to watch all the games we wish is the main reason we don't cruise in the fall. Seriously doubt Princess will have the SEC channel. LuLu
Loonbeam Posted September 20, 2014 #16 Share Posted September 20, 2014 To repeat.. The SEC channel has no agreements with Maritime sat providers. Thus, unless something happens in the near future, it's not a matter of likely, its a no.
divingaggie Posted September 20, 2014 #17 Share Posted September 20, 2014 We're on the same ship and I'm hoping that they'll change it to show on ESPN or ABC. Gig 'em. 👍
Mississippian Posted September 20, 2014 Author #18 Share Posted September 20, 2014 There's always a chance that the game will be on regular ESPN 1 or 2, or else one of the networks. We'll see.
bonniejk Posted September 21, 2014 #19 Share Posted September 21, 2014 We are from Athens GA, home of UGA, and we would love to see the SEC channel on the Regal when we cruise in 3 weeks, but I don't expect to. I would be great to see the Dawgs play on MUTS!
VADawg Posted September 22, 2014 #20 Share Posted September 22, 2014 I'm interested in the Ole Miss/Mississippi State game. Ordinarily this game wouldn't be of much national interest, but Ole Miss is playing real well this year, but the winner of that match-up seems to have no relation to national rankings. I have a son down at Ole Miss and have been following the Rebels the last few years. The big question after this weekend is whether MS ST is that good or is LSU that bad this year. Both will be big games this year as Ole Miss continues their rise. I hope you will be in a port for the game and can get access to WiFi for at least updates or the radio broadcast. Hotty Toddy!
