Late flight after cruise HELP

So I'm about to cruise on the Victory and the return flight is at 330. Any suggestions on what to do once we disembark? We disembark at the Port of Miami and flight is leaving from FLL. Help!!!

You could rent a car then just head to the beach until time for the airport

I was thinking about that but the excursion from the trip said the flight had to be after 4pm :confused:

You might be able to do that on your own by renting a car. I'd look into a one-way rental, picking up at Miami and returning to FLL.

That isn't a late flight. It will take you about an hour to get to Fort Lauderdale from Miami.

 

Once you stop for lunch you'll be on time for your flight.

I agree with Blue Heron's - off the ship about 9:00, rent a car, explore Miami Beach/Hollywood/Fort Lauderdale, find a nice spot for lunch, and then drop the car at FLL about 1:30-2:00 and catch your flight.

Most ships want you off by 9am breakfast closes long before then

We are in the same situation. Once we disembark, our flight is not until 9pm. We are planning to head over to the museum park next to the bayside area. Does anyone know the easiest way to get over there? It looks close by, can you walk out of the port area over to bayside?

Taxi should be about $10+ and I would advise against walking -- lots of industrial as well as cruise traffic.

Hi, Bob. I called RCCL and the customer service rep suggested we use the luggage valet program and take the Everglades Airboat tour after the cruise. That should kill some time before our 8:15PM flight from FLL airport. I do not recall what is around the airport. Are there any nearby restaurants? I do not want to sit in the airport for a long period of time. Thank you for your fountain of knowledge. :)
