Things I Wish Carnival Would Offer

I agree 100%! We went to the Pinnacle Grill for lunch on Holland America and it was such a wonderful experience! I don't recall the exact price but I think it was $10-$15pp and totally worth it. The menu was not as extensive as the dinner menu, but I was still able to order a nice steak. And the impeccable service and elegant ambiance were still there. :)

When at home or in Las Vegas we usually eat our large meal around lunch time so this idea would be a big plus for us. Plus it would be nice to get out of the hustle and bustle for a nice meal.

Soda and juice machines that you utilize with the bottomless bubbles card. Some kids prefer juice. Moreover, alot of times they get totally ignored at the bar. Not to mention I myself can't stand soda from hot cans.

More than just the all or nothing drink package. We never get it, because our drinking patterns aren't the same.

1. Live bands

2. Lays potato chips at deli

3. Hard tacos and nacho chips at blue iquana to go with all those salsas, also queso.

4. Use the aft port lounge which is smoking usually and have a musician / guitarists or party music band for smokers -middle age dance club?

5. Sweet southern tea would be nice, too!

Back in May 2011, John Heald declared that all Carnival ships would serve potato chips at the deli. Unfortunately, this was never followed through except on the ship he was currently on. The Carnival Magic continued to offer them at the deli for a while after he left. This was all started after a guest was very vocal about her displeasure of the lack of potato chips during the Carnival Magic's inaugural season.

Prior to the 2.0 downgrades, you could be served nachos and cheese at the old grill on most ships.

Don't you love how you're tipping for the pleasure of being ignored?

I love cruising with Carnival but there are a couple of things they could do that would make my trip even better.

Offer a $25.00 double deck blackjack game in the casino, or at least a shoe game for $25.00.

Offer cheers by the day for an additional $10.00 or $20.00 a day in addition to the normal $50.00 a day. For me I only want cheers on sea days. I could never drink 15 drinks on port days.

Let you bring on your favorite booze and charge me a fee. For example Jack Daniels is $85.00. Let me bring my Woodford on board for a $60.00 fee.

Open up the steakhouse for lunch with a lunch menu and charge a $20.00 up charge.

Okay now what would you like to see.

I would like to see some live music during the day, especially on outside decks.

I like your idea bout steakhouse open for lunch, for a charge of 15.00 or 20.00 ok too.

This might seem trivial to some, but for me it is the ultimate comfort food. I would like to see them add an egg salad sandwich to either the room service menu, or the deli. I would also like them to add the cheese plate that is on the dessert menu in the MDR to the room service menu.

Better hot dogs from the deli, or some other venue on the ship.

See? I dont really want much lol:)

I wrote this suggestion a couple years ago on Cruise Critic - I think Carnival should have a lazy river on lido deck. I would love to sit in an inner tube and float around hours on end with an umbrella drink in hand. Sheer bliss!

That is my idea of paradise. I would love it and would book any ship that offered it. My husband would never have to look for me. He would just have to watch the lazy river circuit :-)

Someway to communicate with others on the boat. The new app sounds promising.

I actually think Carnival has very good offerings. I like room service coffee/light snacks but I rarely consume meals in my cabin so sandwiches and such are enough for me. They offer robes which other lines do not or only if you are in a suite. I like the laundry specials.

It all costs money.

A package for unlimited in room movies (say $50 and all the pay for view movies for the week).

Another vote for the freestyle soda machines.

A package for specialty coffees (or a coffee card which you buy and offers so many coffees for a special price).

Carnival's 24hr frozen yogurt AND ice cream and their superior 24hr pizza beat Princess and RC but I wish they had fresh chocolate chip cookies like the other lines. I was really disappointed on my last Pride cruise that they only had small hard cookies on the buffet. You had to pay for the good cookies.

I would love the lazy river too! I don't enjoy just standing in a tiny pool with crowds.

Yes, me four for that Cheers Beer package where each person in the cabin isn't required to buy it because usually by the second day my husband has free drinks because of his Casino points. I don't gamble, so I always have to pay per beer.

I would love for Carnival to figure out a way to honor all requests from every individual sailing on their ships. It does not seem too unrealistic to me at all.

If I were to make a real wish list?

1. Let me smoke cigars on my balcony, or at least, a select set of balconies such as the highest level so smoke does not bother the neighbors.

2. Offer a progressive jackpot on Carribean Stud inside the casino. Carnival complains that not enough people play the game but the main reason why people play it is to have a chance to risk $1 to win $100,000 or more on the progressive.

3. Enforce the adults only policy on the adults only pools or hot tubs.
