Thanx that's great to know.

I forgot about peanut allergies, its getting so peanuts and other legumes are the new thing to ban like cigarettes.

I wonder why so many kids are allergic now, I guess maybe the formulas they are given as infants...but what do I know  Never had a kid of my on.

Uncleg, its what is now allowed to be put on our crops and what is allowed to be given in the feed to our poultry and cattle that we eat.

I am 51, never in my life did I have any food allergies or any food intolerances or any problems due to eating anything. Two years ago, I started to get very sick sometimes violently sick! At first they thought I had the symptoms of ovarian cancer, thankfully I didn't, I took 2 colonoscopies and 2 endoscopies the past two years because of my "issues"...needless to say I figured it out that there is something going on with me reacting to the foods I eat.

I researched months about what our FDA is allowing now...years ago the FDA "FORBID" the use of certain pesticides and herbicides on our crops and in crop fields NOW IT IS ALLOWED!

Our foods contain pesticides, herbicides, preservcatives, bad chemicals, hormones, steriods, flavor enchancers, etc....cattle are injected with hormones and steroids and antibiotics and so is our poultry! Poultry feed now contains arsenic in it, the feed of our cattle and poultry and pork are cheap and contain a lot of what I just mentioned. Milk we drink contains the hormones that are injected in our cattle....lets not forget about GMO's!!!

Lets not forget all the other things that are bad for us in our foods which contain high frutose for an example.

Needless to say, I have to be gluten free, dairy free, free of eggs which leads me to the point when I go out to eat I only can have 20% of what is on the menu!

Yes, they put things in the baby formula also!! Calcium hydroxide, calcium chloride, CARRAGEENAN, modified starch (linked to digestive ailments as well as gastrointestinal flora and the chemicals used to modify the starch are cancer causing and cause gene mutations), zinc sulphate can cause allergic reactions, cupric sulfate, phosphates, mono and diglycerides, ferrous sulphate....makes you sick doesn't it?

I don't want to wander too far off topic but let me add this.....A couple of years ago my wife start an herb and vegetable garden in our back yard. To be perfectly honest I forgot how good and how much taste vegetables are suppose to have. The tomatoes are unbelievable. Now when I have store bought tomatoes they just don't have any taste.

Growing your own vegetables and herbs is so easy, especially here in Florida and I know what goes on them and in them.

Your correct the store has the worst tasting tomatoes and all veggies, nothing like home grown veggies and such unfortunately I live in a huge community on golf course in northeast Florida and our outside water is reclaimed, for this is the reason why we don't have our own garden.

I am perfectly satisfied cruising with Carnival, but if we're all playing...

Cheaper Cheers program/not requiring all adult passengers in cabin to purchase.

Late night or overnight port stays.

A BETTER SHIP IN CHARLESTON PLEASE!!!

A lazy river would be amazing. I was actually just thinking that same thing yesterday.

I'm not a big soda drinker, but the fountain machine thing would be a great addition for when I did want one. I brought sodas on last time, but prefer fountain to can.

More food options in the late afternoon. I'm not crazy about Guy's, so I ended up surviving on pizza on port days... and late nights.

Speaking of late nights, I really do miss that midnight buffet. Late night snacks really were disappointing on the last cruise. Majorly disappointing. There were two options: really gross hotdogs and some weird chicken sandwich. Options never changed. I'm not expecting Carnival to go back to a full spread complete with ice sculptures at midnight, as much as I'd love it, but different options each night. If hot dogs must be offered, upgrade to kosher beef for goodness sake!

Maybe some toppings at ice cream bar?

Creme brulee on the fixed MDR menu (the every night offerings).

Shows like there used to be.

Calypso band on deck. No more DJ.

Hmm... this is getting long so I'll stop. I'm not a picky, whiny traveler. These things are just some perfect world daydreams.

Don't you love how you're tipping for the pleasure of being ignored?

Exact reason we only dined in the MDR for two nights. Waitress did not come to our table for 30 minutes after we sat down for our scheduled dinner. And then brought us the wrong meals each night. I definitely understand being overwhelmed or having larger tables that take up more of your time but I started feeling invisible hahahaha. In the end it allowed for a more relaxing dinner the other nights because we weren't forced to sit with our table mates who hated us haha.

I love this idea! Their mobile website is really not my favorite. I switch over to the computer version even on my phone. Maybe an app would be nice.

Oh and a lazy river, that sounds wonderful!

I love on Princess ships how the have the Cafe in the Atrium that has Donuts in the morning and chicken salad gelato too. It's a nice lunch place in addition to the lido. It would be great to have. Plus on disembarkation day we grabbed a few donuts to go and that was breakfast.

Ok you got me what is chicken salad gelato?

DEFINATELY some late night food options ...they can add inexpensive late night snack options its easy too...make your own nachos, some fruit and cheeses, even some finger sandwiches or some cookies and cupcakes, salsa and dip with chips, bags of chips. If you think of all the people out on the night deck party or that one buffet they generally have which is usually mexican they are swamped with people...people want food at late night not just pizza!!!

You're so right! Especially when people have been drinking. My last cruise, I remember a particular uproar on Mexican Fiesta night because all they offered was chips with sour cream and salsa. No cheese. No beans or meat. I was in line at Pizzeria and the line was huge. I could hear all the people around me saying, "We were at the fiesta, but all they had were chips and salsa! Not even any cheese!" Or variations of that and discussing it amongst themselves.

There were chocolate chip and sugar cookies at late night snacks, which are my favorite. But, more dessert options, like cheesecake one night, chocolate cake the next night, key lime pie, etc. Might be nice to some. But, again, none of this is necessary to keep me cruising. DH and I tried late night snacks once and did the pizzeria twice. After that, we started ordering room service sandwiches and desserts and that's where it's at. Although, Carnival maybe would make out better offering more on the late night snacks buffet because our room service wait was always crazy long at night, so obviously we weren't the only ones who'd rather have a sandwich and chips.

I never was a smoker but my daughter and her boyfriend smoke electronic cigarettes which for the life of me isn't smoke and doesn't smell like smoke only people have an "issue" with people smoking so they have to create drama and get that banned too.....again, I am no smoker I have no problem in cruise lines allowing people smoke on their balconies (I always get a balcony cabin) and I have no issue having smoking in the casino and I have asthma, I take my medicine it controls it although having a smoking side and a non smoking side in a casino on a ship is a good idea because there are people with asthma that react to the smoke. A balcony is open to the outside, I am for smoking on balconies, remember I don't smoke too!

I really wanted an ice bucket on my last cruise. I think some ships have them but mine did not. The plastic bucket we used instead didn't work so well.

I also did not have an ice bucket in the room in November, but I had read here on CC that if you ask your room steward for one, they will provide. So by the third day of the cruise ( I had an excellent room steward btw ) I figured I would ask, because I was planning to drink my bottle of wine that night. I told him, I only needed it for that night if possible, he said no problem with a great big smile to boot. The ice bucket remained after that and was filled twice a day with ice, though I didnt ask for it other than the one day.

Request for your room service order to be expedited for a dietary restriction. You'll have it within ten minutes.

Yes.

No (well, maybe? If you're talking about packaged foods I think you can).

I brought food back from PR. We had a fantastic, authentic Puerto Rican meal and it was huge. I couldn't eat it all and definitely wasn't going to waste what I paid for and didn't eat. DH didn't get off the ship that day, so I wanted him to have a taste. I just put the food in a to go box and brought it back. We ate it in our room.

I wish we could use the VIFP drink voucher ANY time. It already has a $9 limit so what's the difference if I use it at dinner or at the pool. That's when I want to have a drink, not at breakfast.

Absolutely agree with this! If they don't want folks to use it, why offer it in the first place.

My other wishes:

~ Actually being able to control the A/C in our cabin. It is way too warm for me to get a comfy night's sleep especially with the thick comforter. We just got off the Getaway today and not only could I get my a/c nice & cold, but it also had a quick cool button. The room would get cold in under five minutes! Loved it!

~ Smaller Past Guest Parties. The last several parties that we've attended were all packed to the brim. Some folks were standing due to lack of seating. Getting a drink was a mission.
