Things I Wish Carnival Would Offer

Just back from Universal Orlando's Cabana Bay Beach Resort. You could purchase a cup with a microchip on the bottom that enabled the Freestyle Coke Machines. You pay the for the number of days you are staying.

This could be easily done for the bottomless bubbles program with drink stations throughout the ship, then the bartenders would be free to serve alcohol.

This is minor stuff, but since the question was asked...

  • Better room service menu
  • More food options between 3:30 and 5:30 PM
  • Guest lecturers to feed my mind
  • Better casino odds
  • More single tax waivers!
  • More organized, and possibly supervised, activities for singles
  • More non-standard cruise lengths
  • Different ports (sometimes)
  • Longer stays in port
  • Better Internet access and speeds, preferably for free

They have this on Royal Caribbean.

Live music on the lido deck. Dump the DJs.

I agree with this one as well!!!! Love the steel drum bands on deck while catching some rays!!!!!

I would love to see Carnival add music to the other pools as well! For example, we were on the Conquest last April and liked the more secluded pool at the back of the ship but it got a little boring after a while with no music to listen to!!! I'm not sure if they offer any music on serenity deck but I'm hoping so for our cruise next month because that is really where I want to spend my time on deck!!'

I would LOVE to have a Carnival App for my phone. One that would allow you to book excursions and reservation. Also one that would notify you when a favorite excursion becomes available (FTTF)

I love this idea! Their mobile website is really not my favorite. I switch over to the computer version even on my phone. Maybe an app would be nice.

Oh and a lazy river, that sounds wonderful!

I love on Princess ships how the have the Cafe in the Atrium that has Donuts in the morning and chicken salad gelato too. It's a nice lunch place in addition to the lido. It would be great to have. Plus on disembarkation day we grabbed a few donuts to go and that was breakfast.

I wish Carnival would offer a one way ticket off the ship for smugglers and show it on the big screen for all other smugglers to see. :)

I don't like this idea at all. The camera adds 10 lbs. and I would not want to see myself looking that way on the big screen.

I've always thought that offering doughnuts in the lido buffet along with the pastries would be a good idea. Heck, they could even do specialty doughnuts in the morning at the Coffee Shop.

How about chocolate croissants?

Amen to the better food options from 330-5ish... that is right when you get back from the excursions. I am on a diet or trying to be on the cruise at least and I need more than just burgers and pizza available when I get back!

One of the things I wished for most when I was on board, was on board texting. It would have been great to be able to text my wife when she was at a place different than I was at, and let her know where I was.

And more comfortable chairs around the outside tables. I really disliked how they had the rail that went from the side of the chair to the edge of the seat. That was very uncomfortable for me.

There are some relatively easy fixes to some requests:

Texting: Bring cheap walkie-talkies on board. Only carry them around when you know you will be separated for a while, otherwise leave them in the room.

Hot room service: I was disappointed that my only options were sandwiches and chips. I get it. However, nothing is stopping you from getting hot food and bringing it to your room. At least, not to my knowledge. I never asked but why couldn't you? Go get a burger, pasta bar, whatever and take it to your room for hot food in the room. I know, sometimes you want room service because you are tired and don't want to get out but try to plan ahead and grab food on the way back to your room at night if you want something hot.

I want a music free serenity area.

You won't like my classical, jazz, rap, rock, pop, country or any other genre.

There is nothing serene about listening to music that you do not like. Music in that area should come from an iPod and earbuds.

Allow only one person in a cabin to buy the Cheers program or do it on a day by day basis. Even if they are afraid of sharing, they still have a 15 drink limit anyway. So whether the person drinks it themselves...or shares it, they will always only get 15 drinks a day.

On Fantasy for instance that doesn't have a specialty restaurant, set up a better meal service for additional charge on the beach somewhere. It would be by reservation only and limited number, but would involve a better meal than buffet hamburgers and hot dogs.

I guess its my turn lol

I have to be gluten and dairy free there are many people in these days that have the same:

a- on the menu's have the items marked whether they are gluten free, dairy free, soy free, sugar free, this will enable the passengers to know and no need to bother the servers and waste their time especially when they have so many people to serve at once. At the buffets have the items labeled which are gluten free, dairy free, soy free

b- breakfast- offer grits and have pre made omelets out in buffet this will enable the lines of the omelet station to be shorter, have breakfast pizza's served in the pizzeria. For lunch have the lunch have more gluten free options, more vegetables without sauces/gravies, have a greek salad in addition to the regular lettuces offered, always offer baked potatoes daily and or gluten free noodles and for the chicken nuggets use panko instead of breadcrumbs, have a nacho area people love nachos and its quite inexpensive and have corn tortillas instead of wheat, offer gluten free desserts.

Late night foods, this is where Carnival is very weak compared to its competitors...offer nachos and salsa/gucamole, have bags of chips, cookies, hot dogs, fruit and cheeses/cold cuts and maybe a salad bar, all these items are very inexpensive and they cover something for everybody when it comes to dietary issues.

Have a hot dog stand, you can't believe how many people love this on the RC ships and its inexpensive to maintain and and so is the cost.

I would like to see a second specialty restaurant on the ships in addition to the Steakhouse, I am quite happy with the Steakhouse but would like to have another option or they can have a charge on the MDR menu to upgrade their steak to one of the steaks in the steakhouse.

I dont agree with the lazy mans river, it be way too crowded, high cost to maintain, take up a lot of room, but I would like to see the future ships have larger nicer pools.

Offer sangria

Have live bands out on deck people love it and miss it!

Movies shown in the theater every afternoon

I second this one. Dive in movies are great but sometimes, it would be nice to be in a padded seat inside air conditioning. :D Especially on long cruises (our 14 day repositioning has 3 sea days at the end - I would love movies in the main theatre).

This is a great idea. Have the Cheers purchase tied to the cabin and the person. Basically I am trying to say still have the 15 drink per day per person limit but who cares if the person wants to share a couple of their 15 drinks.

Me three. I much prefer a movie with a nice drink in my hand to hanging out on the Lido or playing trivia..
