skidrow1950 Posted January 30, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 30, 2015 Would like info on the easiest and best way to get tickets for the Ice Show. Will be on in April. Will be in wheelchair if that matters! Thank you
cb at sea Posted January 30, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 30, 2015 Once onboard, they will announce (and it will be in the Compass) where and when to pick up the tix....only one of your party need go to get them. No need for advance booking...plenty for everyone!!!! There are multiple showings, so everyone gets to see the show!
dplusd Posted January 30, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 30, 2015 In the past, ice show tickets were available for pickup on boarding day in the Royal Promenade. I think the time was around 3:00pm, before muster. Very easy and only one person in your party needs to be there. Just decide which day and time you want to go...usually four shows, two during the day and two in the evening.
TonyBuzz Posted January 30, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 30, 2015 We were on Nav on a B2B in Oct. Promenade on Day 1. There are plenty of good seats in the back for wheelchairs that still have great views.
ahecht Posted January 30, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 30, 2015 When we sailed on Navigator earlier this year the tickets were just sitting out on a table in the Royal Promenade for anyone to grab when we boarded. There was an official distribution time later in the afternoon but most people had already taken their tickets by then.
George C Posted January 30, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 30, 2015 This is by far best show on the ship , do not miss it ( if you are lucky enough to be in GS or above there is a special section that will not require a ticket)
April-in-NC Posted January 30, 2015 #7 Share Posted January 30, 2015 We didn't get tickets (it was around 9:00 on a sea day) but they have a stand by line for each show. The cruise director mentioned that the best day to do the stand by was the 6:00 show after Cozumel because people don't think they have time to get cleaned up after being in port all day. We did the stand by line and were still able to get great seats about 3 rows back.
LeeW Posted February 2, 2015 #8 Share Posted February 2, 2015 Note that the tickets just get you in without being in the standby line. Show up around 1/2 hour before the show and stay left to go in. Right side of entrance is standbys. Recommend middle of either side - better view than the suite area. Note that getting out will be a chore for wheelchairs - the area around the elevators is fairly small and will be crowded. Either spend some time looking at pictures or get a drink in one of the showroom bars.
denamo Posted February 2, 2015 #9 Share Posted February 2, 2015 We were on the Navigator for January 4 cruise. The ice show tickets were available on boarding day in the Promenade. Think we found them about 3:00, but may have been available earlier.

Susie51 Posted February 5, 2015 #13 Share Posted February 5, 2015 Thank you for the info. We will be in a GS. Does the concierge get the tix for us?
39august Posted February 5, 2015 #14 Share Posted February 5, 2015 GS have no need for tickets. Just show your gold seapass card as you enter. Also, there is reserved seating for gold card holders. Top level to the left side of center. I like the location, tho' many do not.

I thought this was one of the best perks of the gold card, we liked the seats also and will be back in another 80 days
