Departure day and earliest flight

If you are going out of FLL, we were in the first group to disembark at 7 am. We were given priority through customs (my mom is in a wheelchair). The line was very, very long, even at 7 am (there were six ships in port). We caught a cab to the airport, and we did not make it before 8 am. It was closer to 8:30. I would not risk an 8:05 flight.

Earliest that I have ever gotten to Ft. Lauderdale airport (and at my gate) is 8:15 am. We did elite self-disembark. The ship docked at 7:00 am and we were in the first group off at 7:30 am. We were also the only ship in port on a Wednesday. You can book a nice hotel and have dinner for less than $800.00. Is it possible to get the same price flight for the next day?

What is the earliest flight you have made departing Princess?

We are on the Regal departing April 5th and the 8:05 am flight is

1/3 the price of the next flight which is 2:30. Family of four it would

Be a $800 difference. Could we make a 8:05 flight???

You need at least two hours to clear the ship and security at FLL.

If you go to the Personalizer and click on the itinerary for your cruise, you will see something like:

AIR FLIGHT GUIDELINES

If you have purchased independent air arrangements, please ensure your air schedule falls within these guidelines as Princess is not responsible for making any alternate arrangements or for any out of pocket expenses that may arise should you miss your cruise or cruisetour and/or return flight. The times listed below are subject to change.

Embarkation: Los Angeles - Latest international flight arrival: 3 hours prior to the ship's departure. Latest domestic flight arrival: 2 hours, 30 minutes prior to the ship's departure.

Disembarkation: Los Angeles - Earliest flight departure: 5 hours, 30 minutes after the ship's arrival.

So, go to the Personalizer and see what it says for your voyage ending in Fort Lauderdale.

A major reason late morning/early afternoon flights are more expensive out of FLL is, of course, that they're full of cruisers trying to fly out. Last time off Princess, rather than get a hotel for the night, we just hung around the ship till the bitter end, then hung out at the airport for a few hours till we caught our early evening flight, thereby saving us hundreds of dollars.

That is what we do too. We are the last to leave the ship, arrive at the airport get thru security, decide where to eat lunch and then settle in with a good book or just people watch;) until our flight.

We were on the Regal 2 weeks ago, they started self disembarkation at 0600- we were in the 0615 group- customs just waved everyone thru- we grabbed a taxi and were at the airport before 0700- (we had an 1100 flight), but if anything goes wrong it could be a disaster-
