Other than Johnny Rockets, is there a place on Independence where you can get cheeseburgers?

You can get them in the buffet, but we found that they sat in the steam table and were like hockey pucks.

Room service has pretty good ones. DS liked the ones in the WJ just fine. Guess cheeseburgers are just not something I seek out on a cruise.

They typically have burgers everyday during lunch in the windjammer.

Not nearly as quick as the Carnival set up by the pools, but you can grab a plate and make the long walk back outside if you like

Sliders now on the everyday choices in the mdr for dinner, too... I haven't had them myself, but others at my table have, and they look pretty good

We have them occasionally, and they are not bad at all. No steak fries on Adventure last week though.

No option compares to Johnny Rockets. I love their burgers and onion rings!!

MDR burger at lunch is much better than WJ burger. The meat is similar in quality to JR. Couple it with Tutti Salad for a delicious lunch.

I have also liked the WJ burgers. I don't eat them with buns normally so if there isn't much interesting me then I grab a couple of pattys.

the Roomservice burger is VERY good, and in the MDR for lunch on sea days there is often a version of the RS burger as well.

 

Honestly, if I am jonesing for a burger( and will not eat at JR on land so you can forget doing so at sea) I order room service

I prefer the burgers in the Windjammer to Johnny Rockets & I can't stand the onion rings JR serves!

In my experience how good or bad the WJ burgers are depends on when you happen to walk up and thus fresh they are. Also in my experience, if it looks like they've been there too long and you ask a crew member, then usually you can get a fresh one.

I agree with Spookwife's post above. The best burger I ever had on a Royal ship was ordered from Room Service. :)

Exactly! I think Carnival hands down has the best burgers. Fresh and hot off the grill. Yum yum:)
