Which ships (or Concierge's) allow children in Diamond Lounge

Recommended Posts

You do NOT need to be married. You only have to have the same physical address AND your fiancee is eligible to have your status IF they were on at least one RCI cruise already.

If your fiancee HAS been on an RCI cruise and you both live together you can call and link both of you together - Instant Diamond.

If not, they will not get access to the D lounge before you are linked. The linking requires you to call Royal Caribbean, they do not do it automatically.

Really?? So do I call Crown and Anchor or RCI? This is fantastic news. Yes he has been on 2 cruises with me. Thank You!

You would call Crown and Anchor. Or you can call RCI and have them transfer you over. Since he is a C&A member they will upgrade his status to match yours (even with different last names) and he will be a Diamond member with full Diamond Lounge access and all Diamond benefits on his Seapass

Better make sure he's not marrying you just for your Crown and Anchor status first. :D;)

Great! Enjoy! Don't forget, he gets ALL the Diamond benefits on his card like a free photo, casino spin to win, internet discount, etc., etc. Make sure he introduces you as his sugar mama

I definitely think this is a good string. Partially off topic at times and we have differences of opinion, but in the end its all about having a good time.

No matter if kids are around or not, I will have a blast.

Mixed experiences had with different ships and where the lounge is. It all comes down to behaviour for me. We took our son into the cl on mariner and voyages and there was no issue but he was on strict instruction to behave, not go in and out and the concierge was fine as we're fellow guests. He got bored basically and groundwater things to do. Majesty had their diamond in an open bar and did other events at the same time with lots of kids included

We have been on two cruises where children were permitted in the Concierge Lounge and problems were caused. Toddlers were sitting on the floor playing while adults were milling around because no seating was available. The parents were taking no notice of the children - had a child been hurt, I am sure the lawsuits would have been flying!

There were also problems with small gangs of 11/12 year olds using the Lounge during the day on another cruise. One would have a card and bring in his friends. They trashed the Lounge several times, to the Concierge's horror.

Another cruise, there were children playing on the floor in the Diamond Lounge. On another, children running around, bumping into passengers and spilling drinks. Concierges just don't want to get involved, as it causes them problems and may lose them tips.

I do think there should be adult only places - and there are - the Casino and Solarium. No reason for not allowing children in for a few hours during aduolt cocktail hours in overcrowded Lounges.

If I can't use the large spaces allocated to kids, no reason why there can't be some places off limits to kids.

Oh oh oh - I can feel the flames:D:D:D

Sorry you have had bad experiences with children in CL.

I personally have never seen badly behaved children only adults and they were asked to leave. So I feel if the parents didn't control their children. Then the Concierge should of asked them to leave.

Agreed - but the Concierges don't want to lose tips!!! Don't want confrontations either. Receive quite a lot of rudeness anyway and parents do go and complain about them to senior officers, if their offspring are criticised. All too much hassle and its easier to hope that the pax on the next cruise will be better behaved.

Sign of the times. :eek::eek:

Oasis - No

Allure - Yes

Freedom - Yes

Enchantment - Yes

Brilliance - Yes

Liberty - No

Splendour - Yes

Vision - Yes

Independence - No

Rhapsody - Yes

Navigator - Yes

Quantum - Yes

Freedom didn't in Feb. Sign was in front of the main door and overflow door. Personally I have never been in the dl and had kids there.

And therein lies the problem, as I stated earlier. Sorry LMaxwell, I appreciate your good intentions, but this list can never be reliable, as its always subject to change at any moment without notice on any given ship. Its essentially out of date even as you're still compiling it.

Yes the information is only good at the time it is posted, pretty much like CD, AD, Captain info. It does however help to establish historical patterns. Much like whether a ship calls at Coco Cay or misses. past performance is not a guarantee for the future but it can help to establish patterns. Change is a constant variable
