I would check with your bank. My credit union refunds any fees so it has never been a problem. Yes the ships have ATM's and fees but I too don't remember how much they charged.

Another option for USD is to gift yourself casino credit & cash the vouchers at the casino...no fees! :)

I think the fee is $4.50 in addition to what your bank charges. My bank waives all charges.

 

I believe the fee is $6.00 now.

 

Note that the ATMs are not guaranteed to be in working order. Sometimes they are out of order for the entire cruise.

 

The exchange rate is awful so get your cash before sailing or use an ATM in port.

 

No exchange rate involved in the OP's question. A US resident asking about getting US$ from a ship that has US$ based ATMs.
