What to buy with all this onboard credit???

If gratuities are not prepaid, that can use up quite a bit. We sometimes use ours on speciality restaurants, excursions, gifts and souveniers.

Anything left can be put toward extra gratuities for crew.

We were on the Summit last week with $650 onboard credit. It was all from our travel agent, so I guess we could have had it refunded to our card, but we didn't look into that until the last day, by which time we had managed to spend most of it on silly stuff. Our cabin included specialty dining, Internet and premium drinks, so we blew it on excursions and a few nice pieces of clothing. If your cabin does not include unlimited internet, that is certainly nice to have, for those of us who enjoy posting Facebook updates and keeping track of what's going on with our staff at work. We have the same amount of OBC for our next cruise, but as our cabin on that one won't have so many inclusions, I think we'll at least buy the unlimited internet again. Or maybe by that time, I will need a new iPad.

I NEVER have trouble spending my onboard credit - and much more. Mostly on photos, which I'm constantly looking at after the cruise to remind me of how wonderful it was. And oh what I wouldn't give to have more massages!! Sure wish I had your problem!

Last week I had 300 to use up, got a watch and after shave. We had the 123 all in deal so we came home with a zero bill, free watch and after shave. Felt good!

likes Michael Kors maybe a watch in addition to a handbag? I had credit to spend on a recent O cruise and "bought" a lovely MK watch..just wore it for the first time today! Great problem to have, right? LuAnn

Friend bought a Michael Kors bag on board our recent silhouette TA. It was about $200 and they gave her $40 in casino credit for use in the slot machines. She was really vacillating and they used that as the final push to get her to buy so it pays to play the game!

Yes, just looking for something or somethings that are reasonable purchases. My daughter is thinking a Michael Kors bag. I am wondering if they have something like Ferragamo ties on board. Stuck paying retail at home anyway, so something like a $180 Ferragamo tie makes sense to me. A

I doubt you'll find Ferragamo on board, but if you ever see a tie made by a company called Zilli, buy it. They are magnificant with a price to match and it won't be only $180.

To go one step further, when we have both refundable and non refundable credit, we take it out at casino first day and then let any charges we need go back on registered card. (We get travel points 2 to 1 for travel and just booked air to Sydney and two nights hotel, all with points.)

I would also be interested to know what Apple products they carry on board. I didn't even think to look last week, and it would be great to pick up converters and chargers and cases, if they have such accessories.

Just another question. If you book another cruise on board could your OBC be used as deposit?

No, tried last week and was told it had to go on a card!

I have some credit for a forthcoming cruise , January 2016.

Can I use this in the onboard apple store and if so does anyone have any idea if or when the Apple watches will be available

You can use the OBC in the Apple Store. However, they are very limited in inventory. As far as the apple watch, they are not available in the stores on land and I have friends who ordered online on the release date who haven't received them yet.

How do you "take it out" at the Casino?

Go to the cashier and ask to take out what you want... Give them your sea pass card & They give you a receipt to sign and you get charged 5%

Question pertaining to OBC:

I have $300 OBC from Celebrity for Concierge class. I have $325 OBC from my T/A.

I will use the 300 obc cause its from celebrity... and odds and ends.

I won't use the $325 from the T/A... do I need to choose what OBC to charge from or once on ship it looks like $625 (300 and 300), and how do I get the $325 OBC back to my credit card... as that one is from the T/A. Thanks!

I'm not sure but I believe I've read here in the past that they use up your non-refundable OBC first, then go to the refundable. Maybe someone that knows more than me(wouldn't take much) could comment on it.

Celebrity's system will use the non refundable obc first so if you use the full amount of non refundable obc the refundable obc will go back on the card you used on the cruise... I believe you can also visit guest relations on the last day to collect it in cash if you wish! [emoji41]

Thank you both. I am confirming the additional $325 is from the TA (asking them), so I can then know that this will be refundable OBC since its from them, and therefore it will go back on my CC last day of cruise.
