Krazy Kruizers Posted June 11, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 11, 2015 I looked at your itinerary and you stay in ports until 7 and later. The only time you leave a port early is Juneau at 6 PM -- July 30. Production shows are usually on the same night as formal nights. It appears that your formal nights will be your sea day after you leave Seward and then Juneau. Even leaving at 6 PM is going to make it difficult for people to get all dressed up if they get back to the ship ay 5:30 (cutting it too close). SilvertoGold Posted June 11, 2015 #4 Share Posted June 11, 2015 Last year the formal nights were the first at sea and Ketchikan, which had the same departure time as this year.

1ANGELCAT Posted July 7, 2015 #8 Share Posted July 7, 2015 Thanks for the report! Do you recall if those were the same nights as the ship entertainer production shows? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yes, they were the singers/dancers. 1st formal was called Northern Lights 2nd formal was Rockin Roadhouse By the way, the PG was fully booked prior to sailing except for Le Cirque which was Juneau evening. cynalan Posted July 10, 2015 #9 Share Posted July 10, 2015 Yes, they were the singers/dancers.1st formal was called Northern Lights 2nd formal was Rockin Roadhouse QUOTE] We were on that cruise and could not have been more disappointed in the shows in the Vista Theatre. Budget cuts in recent years were blatantly obvious: no show band provided live music; music was prerecorded (though The Band did play in the second show); dancers were mediocre -4 women, 2 men; singers often lip synced to recorded sound track but were exceptional when they actually sang; sets were uninspiring; practically no theme to the shows... just a bunch of songs loosely tied together, etc. One of our main enjoyments in cruising is the entertainment. The Oosterdam was really lacking in the Vista Theatre. Case in point, here was the entertainment for 3 of 7 nights... 1. Movie 2. Dancing with the Stars (sorry, but I do not care to watch other passengers dancing passed off as entertainment) 3. Philipino Crew Show.
