going to Anthem CR cruise November 30th?

(Linda I know you are :) )

Yes, Linda will be on Anthem's November 30 sailing [emoji3]

For the past few sailings in October on Liberty and currently on Allure, the CR VIP stickers were already on our Seapass when we checked in at the pier. There was no need to see the Casino Host for sticker. I am hoping sticker will be on Seapass for our Anthem sailing also in a few weeks. I don't know if other ships will have stickers on Seapass when checking in and think it's a great idea that Casino Host are adding these stickers as it saves time of not waiting in line for Host when casino opens.

We just achieved Casino VIP status two cruises ago, I am wondering if there is a list of perks posted somewhere under the current program. On our last cruise we received free drinks in the casino, I am wondering what other perks that we may be missing. Thanks for your help.

Make sure when booking a cruise you call CR to get the VIP rate. I may be wrong, but I thought I read somewhere you could get into shows without reservations. One of the more experienced VIP members might be able to clarify this.

Club Royale does not have a listing of all the perks a VIP member can and will receive. Depending on the amount of money and time you spend in the casino, the perks can be very good. Been a member for years and I'm very happy with their program. Here are just a few perks:

-Discounted room rates when contacting Club Royal and more of a discount on rooms when booking a cruise on one of their special events (see 2015 events below). Their event listing for 2016 should be coming out the end of November or sometime in December

Special events for 2015

https://secure.royalcaribbean.com/content/en_US/pdf/Casino_Cruises_Itinerary.pdf

-Cash rebate when contacting CR. After returning from a cruise, call CR to see how much of a cash rebate you earned on your prior cruise, which they will give you on your next sailing, provided you sail by 3-15-16. As of 3-15-16, cash rebate will no longer be issued as Club Royale's new VIP program should be rolling out. No one knows what the new benefits will be as we've been waiting over a year for the roll out of new CR new benefits.

-Free drinks in casino

-5% fee waive for cash taken out at tables or at the Cashier in the casino. Each guest may obtain up to $5000 per person per gaming day as long as this is approved by your credit card.

-Invites to special Poker, Slot and BJ tournaments which you can win a few thousands of dollars up to $25,000 in the their Master Tournaments for Slots & BJ and I believe their Master Poker Tournament payout is $100,000.

-Invites to special Welcome Aboard Parities

-Invites to special sailings, ex: golf events, BBQ beach bash, holiday party

-Special VIP Spa Offers of 10 & 20% off spa services

-Complimentary free cruises

-complimentary dinner at specialty restaurants

-Complimentary strawberries/champagne/wine delivered to stateroom

This is all I can think of at the moment and again, depending how big of a gambler you are, the perks can go on and on.

Welcome to the club :)

Linda, welcome back from Allure :)

Thank you, talk to you and see you real soon :)

Thanks we are going in Dec and hope Vivian is back by then from the way you are talking. You do know that you can email the casino manager directly also correct? I think you can even get the table manager. I know I have sent direct emails to the Host, slot and casino manager before

Thanks. That's good to know

This is something I'm hoping will be improved in their new program. I think it's reasonable for a Club Royale member to know what their level of play should entitle them to receive. Since they don't provide such information, we could be missing out on benefits that we should be getting.

Anyone get this one? The only benefit seems to be a free massage, you would be getting your rebate regardless. I also like how they say that if I earn 5000 points I can get drinks for free. The drinks are normally free anyway and I don't play slots...

Thank you for reminding me about this offer. I did receive it back in October sometime and forgot all about it until now. In a few days I'll be on the Anthem and I called Club Royale to see if I could still get the Swedish massage offer, and even though I was well past final payment I was told yes she would set it up with the ship! Can't wait for my massage, Thanks again.:)

IMO, It may happen when the new benefits get rolled out as each of the three tiers would be entitled to different benefits.

FYI, met a couple on Allure last week who by the third day had 24,000 points, yikes, and said he receives 25% rebate. So currently, cash rebates are different depending on the time and money someone spends in the casino, as we know by March 15 2016, unless the program does not roll out until later in 2016.

While picking up my cash rebate, quite a few people in the Cashier line had a rebate of the max. $5000.

This may be off subject, but maybe someone can answer this. I know your loyalty status on RC is comparable if you sail on X. Does the casino VIP status work the same way? Just curious.

Their casino club on X is call Blue Chip and I believe if your entitled to a cash rebate from RCI, you can pick it up at the Cashier on X.

another offer from CR....any Anthem sailing until 2015 special casino rate.

I didn't call / interesting in it bec going on Anthem Nov 30 w free balcony +cash offer.

But if you are interesting just call CR and check if you have it.

Did not receive anything in the mail but did receive a few cruise certificates from our recent sailings which had many ships listed for a free cruise and also had Anthem sailings for both 11/22/15 & 12/12/15 as a free balcony cruise. Just can't do anymore this year since we're leaving again in 12 days, as you know :)

Linda,

Do you know if a CR VIP would get the casino rate on X?

Hi Mary

I was advised by CR that I would be able to get casino rates if I was to sail on X. The phone number for Blue Chip would be 866-461-7170.

I do know with CR they would give a 15% discount for booking a 2nd room/cabin, I do not know if X would do the same thing.

Are you thinking of taking a Celebrity cruise? I wish I had time to take one. They have the European Roulette wheel (no double zeros) that would make it more interesting

Looking at doing a TA in spring of 2017. My daughter will be studying abroad in Scotland and thought it would be fun to fly over and cruise back. I prefer to cruise Royal, but I am just keeping my options open.

  • 2 weeks later...

Just off Brilliance and got a free cruise cert. The host was telling me that if I opt for the rebate instead and I don't get to use it by Mar.15, the cash rebate can still be applied to any future booking as a cruise discount! Therefore you won't lose your earned rebates prior to Mar. 15 deadline.

BTW, you have to really keep the pit bosses on their toes. They messed up my play time on my last session and I'm glad I checked before I left or I wouldn't have been able to correct it. My actual time last night was 3.5 hours and they had me down for 48 minutes! Thankfully they corrected it and that put me over for the free cruise cert although it's only for an inside stateroom lol

Here is my scenario. Cruises booked and sailed prior to 3/15/16 program change date, I was receiving a 25 - 40% discount from CR. Bookings were for suites. Now when I call for sailings in late 2016 or 2017 (suites) I am only getting about a 10-12% discount.

My rebates have remained in the $600 range, so my play hadn't changed. CR could not provided an answer, other than "this is what the computer is coming up with".

Has anyone else encountered this or have any insight?

I wish they would role out this new program. Why such a delay. I think there are weird things going with CR and none of have any idea. I received over a $1,000 rebate on my January Quantum cruise which was 8 days. On my 10 day Liberty cruise, I received only $850 and trust me, I spent WAY more (read that as LOST way more $$ on the 10 day Liberty. Worse part is, I am unable to receive the 850 rebate on my June of '16 cruise and could not use the cruise cert. they gave me on the Liberty (which was only good until early december and limited cruises) I'm really wondering what is taking them so long to roll out the new program and let us all know what it is. Mostly, I am annoyed over not receiving my 850 rebate and the discounted rate for my Anthem cruise in '16 was not nearly as good as my discount for the January Quantum cruise in '15.

Hi Mary! Right now with the promo RCL is running, in many cases the promo is BETTERS than the casino rates. Some sailings don't even HAVE a casino rate, like several im looking at on Oasis in August for the double double points in a suite promo which we are looking to book today. (Gonna be a daddy-daughter cruise lol).

I have 2 cruises still before the March 15 "deadline", and I already have rebates on each of these cruises ($750 and $300). Therefore I will have 2 rebates I can "carry over" as payment toward 2 future cruises, one of which will be the suite in Oasis in August.

You SHOULD be able to apply that $850 rebate toward payment of a cruise booked before 3/15/16 as long as it's not past final payment. Call CR and request it to be applied to one of your bookings
