You SHOULD be able to apply that $850 rebate toward payment of a cruise booked before 3/15/16 as long as it's not past final payment. Call CR and request it to be applied to one of your bookings

They say I can't use the $850. rebate b/c I am not sailing BY 3/15/16. They keep telling me I have to book and SAIL before 3/15/16! Annoying since they have changed that 'book and sail by' date several times since announcing the new program.

They keep telling me that as long as you have a future sailing BOOKED by 3/15/16, then you can apply an unused "rebate" as payment toward that cruise.. I would call back and specifically mention this is the information the other members are getting, both from casino host (Brilliance) and CR Reps.

Nick, the cruises I have been looking at are on the Allure. Maybe that is why the CR discount is less. Have fun with your daughter! Thanks for info.

Hi Mary. FYI, I booked Aug 14 Allure in a JS hump balcony. I'm counting on a decent "rebate" on my next 2 cruises so I can apply one to the Allure sailing (as payment of cruise fare)

Nick, Thanks so much for your advice/info on rebates. I managed to get through to CR and went through the entire story. After a bit of hemming and hawing, the rep came back on and told me she would apply the $850. to my 6/16 sailing. Told me that since they had delayed the rollout of the new program from Fall of this year to (hopefully) early January of 2016, they are now applying rebates if you book before 3/16.

Thanks, Nick - if we ever meet up in a RC Casino, I'll buy you a drink (since that's probably a perk that they will be taking away in the new program!;)

AWESOME. I KNEW they would see it your way :).

I've benefitted myself quite a bit from Cruise Critic so I'm glad to help others .

I seriously doubt they'll take away the drinks from us though LOL..

I have 2 cruises left before the 3/15/16 deadline so I'm hoping to rack up a couple of nice wins and rebates to apply to my expensive JS on Allure Aug 14 and another cruise I have booked for next year.

Do they let you stack rebates like that onto one cruise? I thought we could only use one towards the payment.

No you can't combine 2 rebates onto one cruise. With my last 2 sailings before the rebates end Dec 31 and Feb 5, since I already have cash rebates applied to both of these sailings, each of these sailings i will be earning rebates on and those will have to be applied to 2 of my future cruises that I've already booked, but only as payment toward the cruises, not cash rebates

Nick,

Which ship are you sailing on for the Super Bowl. My husband is really busy at work in early Feb., but I am trying to convince my husband this would be a great time?

Feb 5 on Enchantment. It's a 3 night but prices still aren't too bad with casino rates

Got certificate like always but incorrect one bec they don't have the new for next quater :( No new about new program or 2016 casino event schedule

I just got off the phone with them. asking if they had the new sailings yet. The woman I spoke to ( who was new) was very rude.

I have not paid for a sailing in a long time. ( it is always comped)

she offered me a $50.oo obc and I could pay casino rates. LOL

Not sure what is going on over there, but it is not good

how can I book a sailing to use my $4,000 + rebate by march 16th if they dont have the list of sailings yet?

Just book ANY cruise by 3/15/16 and you can apply the $4000 rebate as payment toward that cruise!

They keep telling me "first quarter" the new program will be rolled out. Right now I'm playing for the rebate-equivalent payments toward my already-booked cruises still b4 final payment. I may actually add one more cruise prior to the 3/15/16 deadline so I can have THREE differnt cruises I can apply payments on. A fish in the boat maybe worth 2 in the sea

Yes, but the thing is... they always give me free balcony or better rooms... so applying my rebate is effectively throwing my rebate away....I have a feeling they may extend the rebates again, exactly as they did last year.

it will be great if the do extend the rebates...also you may use your 4k for cabin upgrade ;-)

There are many 7 night sailings in. D-1 that are under $4,000 total so that would be a free cruise. I just paid $4,300 for a JS on Allure for Aug 14 cruise and I get 28 points (special promo). So something like that, you basically pay $300 after you apply your rebate. Not a bad deal

HI Nick,

my point was. I NEVER have paid for a balcony. they always give me those for free and then give me my rebate as well. so to use the rebate to pay for the room does not make sense

. So you're basically Now playing under the "new" Cruise Certificates rule where you can get either/or except the award can't be cash so I see what you're saying. It's still worth $4k though

Ouch, I would rather go on a few cruises than pay 4K for one. Rebate or not. :)

Points or not.

I know. This is probl the most expensive cruise for me yet, but I still have time to offset with some sort of casino "rebate" or change my mind, or come to my senses lol. I AM getting $400 OBC fromvRCL and the TA on this anyway so that's a start....I will also get the $100 shareholder benefit as well.....

yes in theory it's a 4k rebate. or whatever...

but... the only way to use it... is

1. take the free balcony that the casino gives my anyways (has nothing to do with certificate)

2. take the 4k rebate and use it to upgrade to a crown loft suite or something....

Thanks for the tip about applying the rebate as a payment. Just had them put my rebate from my Nov 30th cruise towards my March 19th cruise. Hopefully it actually is applied. For my Nov 30th cruise, I talked to 3 different people for the rebate and I still wasn't on the list onboard. Took them til the second sea day to work it out.

Now I also have to pay more attention to how they are tracking my play during the cruise. Onboard, on the last night, they mentioned I had two profiles, one with 1500 minutes and one with a different amount. I didn't pay attention but once I got off the boat, I realized that 1500 minutes was just the amount of time that i spent in the casino on the last three days. So the first nine days of play seems to be missing. I wonder how much larger my rebate would be if they had the correct amount of play.

We've always made sure to get to know our Casino host on the FIRST day. On our first cruise as CRVIPs my DH played for about 2 - 3 days with his card in the machine - but he always made sure to say hi to the casino host, Brian. Half way through the cruise, they found that his play was not being tracked. DH raised his concerns to Brian the CH - and he certainly made up for it. A special card for machines only (helped not having to pull it out to get a drink each time) and he actually bought 1 dinner at Chops and 2 at (then) Portofino's. Plus a good/fair estimate of win/loss and points. Made for a great cruise the following year!

MAKE SURE the casino host sees you - it's the only way they know that you're playing. Who knows how many points the DH had really racked up - but we were very happy with how Brian handled it.

One slight but important detail I don't see is - the cruise youre requesting payment applied to MUST BE BOOKED BY 3/15/16!!. I guess thats the same thing as "discount must be applied by 3/15/16"....so if you have a rebate, make sure to book a cruise by 3/15/16 or you lose it

That was the odd part. I said hello to the CH every day and he knew where to find me for lotto tickets every time he was selling them so it wasn't like I was talking to him for the first time on the last night.
