Offers received from Club Royale (Royal Caribbean)

Still nothing on the new program?

I talked to Josh at CR and he didn't deny that instead of rebates, they may be giving OBC, similar to the "resort credit" you would get on a land based casino. So while its true cash rebates are going away, these could turn into OBCS instead. That's just MY guess...

Nick, OBC would be fine with me :)

Here is part of an email I received from Club Royale the end of January/2016, I was told the new program would come into play at the end of March/2016.

"We will be launching an all-new, fully transparent, casino loyalty program that articulates our positioning as the best casino loyalty program at sea. This will present our ability to rival land-based casino programs and offer a variety of benefits to enhance both the onboard cruise and casino experience.

The new program will focus on enhanced rewards structure for a better onboard experience with tiered onboard benefits to include: priority services, monetary rewards, and prestige/recognition.

There will be tier levels with ascending point thresholds to achieve. These tiers will drive the onboard benefits our members are entitled to.

We do not have a “list” of complimentary cruises for 2016 for our members. Under the new program structure, invitations to Club Royale event sailings, complimentary cruise offers, etc., will be sent out as the offers become available. We would encourage you to contact us by phone to see if there are any current offers available to you."

This thread was started because some of us do not receive any CR emails so I thank you for the update :)

I've said it before, and I'll curmudgeonly say it again, how is Club Royale going to compete effectively with the likes of NCL's Casinos at Sea when I can't get any promotional information from Club Royale, and yet I get free cruise offers nearly weekly from Casinos at Sea?

I want to be "loyal to Royal", but the way that IT (doesn't) work at Royal Caribbean makes it hard.

I called the casino at sea # to see what deals that could give me, they said I had $350 credit either toward a cruise or in cash on a cruise but has to be used by 3/15. After 3/15 it can only be used toward a cruise up till 12/31. Previously they had give me a weekend cruise for free when I called. I usually sail solo on the weekend ones its just a gambling trip. Carnival is willing to at least give me a an inside room solo for $100 with a $100 OBC. I think its time I switch to NCL to see since I see so much on deals with them. RCL did give me the VIP thingy so I dont have to get charged the 5% to take money out and free drinks so there is that I suppose.

Have some new information.

We all know things can change and nothing is set in stone until RC officially release the new details w.r.t the CR program change.

But this is what I do know from my account

I will be in the Top 1/2 of the new tiers.

It will be based on my CR history from inception. (Not last 18 months)

People spoke, CR listened, but this is still very much undecided. But what was implied.

I was given information relating to particular cruises I have previously been on years ago, that will reflect the way my tier has been calculated.

Yes all the big wins and big losses raise flags.

Because we are sailing before 3/15 we are eligible for a rebate but that would have to be used against a future booking to further reduce the cost of a cabin.

They are also working out how to deal with benefits for couples, as with us, my DW is not rated as highly so sketchy to say the least.

I'll be on Allure soon and will get all the New Program details from the Casino Manager;)

On a side not "00" are those greens at $1, $5 or $25's?

Happy Days!

I am anxiously awaiting news about the program. I have a $600.00 rebate coming, but I haven't booked anything yet. I promised my daughter I would take her to Disneyworld this year. So if I book something by 3/15 and sail by the end of the year, I can still apply this rebate toward the cruise, but not take a cash rebate. Is this correct? Or am I wrong?

I see that others are just as frustrated as I am about no concrete information on the "new" program. Remember last year when they announced a big change and then they didn't make the change... Not going an any Super Bowl cruise this year as we are heading to South America for "Around the Horn" later this month. I have not been receiving snail or emails from Club Royale but the reps are very patiently telling me what my new offers are each time I call.

Alla and Linda - It would fun to see you on another cruise ...

Mary that's correct. If you can't make it on a cruise before 3/15, book a cruise in 2016 by that time and you can apply the $600 toward paymrnt. Do t let that go to waste

I mentioned my rebate to my husband last night, that I thought I had to book by March or lose the rebate. He's not big on cruising. Last March I was able to get a GS at a very good price and he was with me. His reply to me was he would go if we could get the same type of cabin...... Well, I'm good with that...lol.

I thought I would go in Nov-Dec. Does any one know when the tournament cruises are in that time frame? I haven't seen anything yet.

Hmm... I hadn't thought about this.

So, cruises sailing before March 15 still earn rebates, too? I had originally (last year some time) thought that Club Royale members would stop earning rebates as of 2016 (January, I guess), but had until March 15 to redeem existing rebates.

My next cruise is on March 13. I am getting a rebate in the casino (one of the last people to get one, I guess).

Given that rebates are good through on sailings before March 15, I figured I'd call to ask about earning a rebate on the March 13 cruise. I was just told that my sailing probably wouldn't earn a rebate and should be under the new program by then.

I also asked what offers were available to me and I was told that they had nothing for me at this time. Although I'm not really looking for anything right now anyway, I'm still rather disappointed that they didn't have anything at all to offer me.

Mary, give CR a call, I know they have dates for their (Poker & Slot) tournaments for 2016 because they told me they had them. I did not ask the dates, wasn't interested their tournaments, only their Golf event. If the rep tells you they don't know the dates, ask them to ask their Supervisor for the dates. It seems some of them at CR know a little more than others about the 2016 CR event sailings.

Cheryl, it was great seeing you again. Have a wonderful time in S.A., enjoy your cruise, I want to hear about it when I see you again on board Anthem in 2016. All the best to you in the casino :)

Graham, you should be entitled to your rebate on your March 13 sailing.

Agreed, Nikki and myself both have cash rebates we will be getting from the cashier as soon as we hit the casino on the 13th.

Have the emails printed out from CR and we also confirmed last week of there validity

Anything we earn on the cruise that week, we will use to reduce the cost of a stateroom on our Liberty cruise in November.

Marc, all I know from a recent conversation on our 13th sailing any rebate we earn will be funded in a way to be used against a future cruise booking.

For me that works great as I will now play more, so as to get my next cruise free or much much cheaper.

Happy Days!

Linda - we are not booked on Anthem (yet) in 2016 (I think Alla and Boris are...) In the fall of 2016 we are going on Explorer from Seattle to Sydney. Long cruise....and then the plan is to stay on in Australia for a while and then go to Hong Kong.
