Agreed. In addition, ask Passengers Services to post it either in the Patter (doubtful, but give it a try) or on the bulletin board. On almost every cruise we meet a few parents who are just traveling with their children without another adult. I think this is very common.

Yes I have done this and told the group. There is no real "qualification" to attend the solo passenger groups they just like you to be honest. When we met on occasions a sub-group decided to disembark and just have a walk round the port or whatever but this is when it's a bit more complicated. On most lines you are not permitted to disembark leaving children on board. On Princess it is permitted if you have deposited the child/ren in the children's club because on their port days a "lock in" situation applies in the club.

 

Any solo parents with children might be better amalgamating and disembarking as groups of parents with the relevant children together. They may initially make contact with the other solos at either the children's club or the solo cruisers' meeting.
