Symphony of the Seas' Blocks Are in the House!

Recommended Posts

They seem to have dropped Vantage of the Seas for some reason.

They let that trademark expire last year.

Interestingly, their deadline for filing extensions for ship names is tomorrow for the other names listed.

Any new names or extensions of names should show up by mid-September.

It could be as long as early 2017 before they name Oasis 4 though.

If their trademark applications are filed with the USPTO they would need to begin using the mark to finalize registration, which may be why they let that one go. They would not be able to claim they are using the name until they begin selling cruises on that ship, even if it hasn't launched yet. So they need to time their trademark filings carefully.

I would like to know too. Harmony had some pretty rocking' prices when her itinerary came out - so hoping Oasis 4 will as well.

Those Harmony prices have changed dramatically!!

Especially the TA

Glad we booked day 1!

I waited a bit but still got a good deal. I am kicking myself now for not going for a balcony. I opted for an oceanview studio because I was so excited they had studio rooms available. I still got a great price on the OV (I am surprised how expensive those are now!). But hind sight says I should have gone for the balcony. On Oasis 4 I won't make the same mistake :-)

  • 2 weeks later...

Royal Caribbean press center site posted more pics of Oasis 4.

They called it Ovation of the Seas again. Don't know what the actual name is. I'm partial to Spectre of the Seas myself...

Considering the reviews of the Bond film with that name, it might not be such a good choice.

As to her "home" port, while not full time, I could certainly see her or another Oasis class spending time is Asia, namely China. That's a huge market for RCI.

Be an interesting cruise to get there since I do not believe an Oasis class ship fits in the Suez canal.
