GUT2407 Posted October 29, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 29, 2015 Just preparing to depart Darwin. It is DD's birthday. She just phoned to say she just got her final Uni exam results, a D and a C. Dad's actually got tears in his eyes. She had brain surgery part way through and still got it all done. Next the big one admission to the Supreme Court. It might call for a cruise to celebrate, me thinks.

GUT2407 Posted October 29, 2015 Author #8 Share Posted October 29, 2015 Should ad. Since we are bragging after all. She finished the Double degree and the Graduate Diploma in 5 years (the normal time for just the double degree) and worked full time, and had surgery and kept up a social life. With a work ethic like that it's pretty clear who she takes after. Her mum.

You are entitled to brag. :) Not really cause she did all the work (well most of it anyway) only calling on dad when she got really nervous about an issue. GUT2407 Posted October 29, 2015 Author #14 Share Posted October 29, 2015 The surgery must have been very scary for all of you. Actually not really the surgeon was fantastic as was the neurologist, in all honesty we had total confidence and the difference I made to her was amazing. It actually wasn't that major just the implantation of a nerve stimulator and inning wires to the brain, hey normally only go to the base of the skull but hers had to go in further. You will never hear me complain about the cost of private health cover.

gaechann Posted October 29, 2015 #17 Share Posted October 29, 2015 Thanks for sharing your proud moment with us! Apart from cruising we all have these private lives happening - well done to your daughter & well done Mum & Dad for instilling her with a great work ethic - something often lacking with the "I'm entitled" generation.
