Jill and I have been really busy this summer trying to collect life insurance on one another (or, learning to sail....same thing).

 

I've lost track of a few things...maybe someone could fill in the blanks.

 

-When does Century go to dry dock?? What is being done??

-We still have wine stewards...right??

-Walkie Talkies have been banned...right??

-They didn't go ahead with the stupid cell phone links on ships...right??

-How many Azipod problems this past 6 months??

-Horizon is still leaving :( ??

-How about Zenith??

-X is considering a new build?? I thought I read that somewhere....

-Jack is gone...who's in that seat now?? Please tell me he's not from an airline!!

Hi Dan:)

Century is going into major drydock April 2006. Specialty Restaurant

is being added and many more balconies. There was a big press release

about everything. Maybe someone can post the link for you.

 

I will be on Summit on Oct 10th. Will be glad to let you know about

the Wine Sommeliers. Hopefully they are still there.

 

Can't answer anything about the cell phone and/or walkie talkie question.

 

Dan Hanrahan is now where Jack was......

 

Horizon's last sailing is Oct 22nd.

 

Zenith is still on the itinerary.

 

As for the new build, there was a press release about that too.

I think it will be the "Challenger Class".

"main mast"...what is a "main mast"??? I think, my sailor wannabe ,friend...we must talk :o .

 

Martini's are more expensive...however the Canadian dollar is at $.87...this wil be our cheapest cruise in many years...at one time I was paying about $1.65 for a US$, now I'm about $1.20...the beer will flow my friends!!

I think the last Azipod problem was March 2005 on Infinity -- which is why Millennium and Infinity are switching itineraries this fall/winter (Infinity now going to the Caribbean, Millennium now sailing around South America).

Ok...get me caught up!!

Well Danno. First the Earth was a hot ball of rock and then it cooled. The volcanos erupted and poured gasses out and formed an atmoshpere. Then the water arrived and the seas and lakes came to be. The first sea creatures formed as bacteria. From this, basic life crawled out and inhabited the land which was moving around the planet. The dinosaurs came and lived everywhere until a big asteroid hit the Earth and wiped them out. Mammals started to take over and from little shrews, developed bears, horses, gorillas, apes and eventually George W Bush. Then we all went on cruises. That's sort of an abridged version. Did I mention the ice age? No, but it's in there somewhere and still goes on in parts of Canada:)

 

OK, I know. You haven't been away that long;)

Hauled tha boat out yesterday...sailing season is officially over, cruising season officially has begun!!
