Assume a pretty stout fee?? Can you tell us the fee please as this will be the first ATM on board I have ever seen.

Things may have changed in the last year, but the ATM was aligned with BB&T and it dispensed either euros or dollars- your choice.

I used to carry Amex travelers' checks for the casino, but apparently they are basically obsolete now, and I don't want to carry cash, so I guess the ATM fee is the way to go.

Some banks and brokerage companies reimburse all ATM fees. When traveling I use a Charles Schwab account (it's free with no minimum account balance required!).

last year it was $6 per for 500. i went with 500 each time so i would visit less often.

This past October I used it twice to obtain 100 Euros each time and the charge was 6 Euros each time. My bank makes no charge using the debit card. The ATM bank is out of Miami.

I think it may be 6 Euros per transaction, but not sure if it is per transaction or according to the amount of money obtained. The conversion rate used at my bank was done on the day of the transaction.

I only use the debit card for ATM foreign currency and my bank does not make a charge for use. A credit card with a pin will also charge you a cash advance fee in addition to the ATM machine transaction fee.

Just found out my ATM Bank refunds ATM fees from US ATM's so have never heard of BB&T so need to know what BB&T is, a US bank or other?? Appreciate the information so I can decide whether to take cash or rely on the ATM for our next cruise.

Very historic commercial bank based in Winston Salem NC, at one time called Branch Banking and Trust. Offices primarily in Eastern Central states.
