smoking on Princess

Someone told me you can smoke in the casino on princess cruises.

Is this true ?

Which ship? On the Australian-based ships there is no smoking except for a couple of open deck areas. On the other Princess ships, smoking is permitted in the casino most of the time but there are some smoke-free nights.

Last three cruises have been on RCCI as I that they were the only ones that allowed it :)

The Regal and Royal have a split casino; half is smoking and half no smoking. The whole casino is no smoking on 2 nights of a 7 day cruise after 6 PM. Smoking areas are very limited.

As far as I remember, there are smoking and non-smoking sides of the casino on all of the Princess ships that I have sailed on.

 

Also, formal nights have been non-smoking nights in the casino on both sides.

As far as I know, as a whole, Celebrity is the only major cruise line that doesn't allow it.

Princess does have a occasional Non Smoking night in the casino.

However , the casino still reeks of smoke imbedded in the furniture , walls , etc.
