Caribbean or Mexico

If you had WON a trip, and be able to choose to go to either the Caribbean or Mexico, which one would you choose? Tell me why, and when you do, tell which area of that region you would go?

Depends on where you live.I live in Florida.Don't pay airfare for Caribbean.Would choose Mexico for me.More to do.

We have cruised to both areas several times but we live on the west coast, so would choose southern Caribbean. Love all of the Caribbean islands but like the southern route more.

I like Mexico but it seems so touristy. I love Central America but you did not mention that. However the islands in Caribbean are really unique. I guess between the two I would say Caribbean.

I prefer those ports over Eastern and Western Caribbean.

Have been to both areas many times.

I would choose the Southern Caribbean as we love Bonaire, Curacao and Aruba.

We have been to both many times. Living on the West Coast we do Mexican Riviera ALL THE TIME. I find the Caribbean to be warmer than Mexico (Mexican Riviera) and I prefer warmer weather, but you are limited in the Caribbean to stay away from Hurricane season.

 

So, I would choose Caribbean. I like the Itineraries out of Puerto Rico and Southern Caribbean.

 

But my favorite destinations so far have been Roatan, Honduras and Grand Cayman for the scuba. I think that cruise includes Cozumel.

It is far easier for us to get to the Pacific side of Mexico than anywhere in the Caribbean. If I could have a private jet non-stop flight, I'd pick the Caribbean. :) For the warmth and the beautiful beaches. But to be fair, the Mex Riv has plenty to offer, too.

Yes, I DID post it "3" times, ONLY in "3" different cruise line locations. I thought perhaps "some" of the people who are on CC, may not be checking ALL the different cruise line messages boards, like a few of you did. :)

 

Well Garsney, since I live in Kansas City, either way or ports/islands would be a welcome to me/us.:)

Caribbean! Mexico is NOT a friend to the USA...so I refuse to spend my vacation dollars there.
