Cruising with 3 kids Posted December 20, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 20, 2015 We are cruising Australia this June on the Sun Princess. The cruise returns to port in the morning, but our flight home doesn't leave until the evening. Any suggestions on what to do with all our luggage while we wait out the day? Sitting at the airport for 8 hours does not sound like a good time! Thanks!
CruiserBruce Posted December 20, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 20, 2015 Check with Princess to see if they offer tours in the Sydney area that end at the airport. Common practice.

Sitting at the airport for 8 hours does not sound like a good time! Thanks! The Tourist Information Centre at The Rocks, which is near the Overseas Passenger Terminal, will mind luggage for the day. I'll see if I picked up a brochure with the cost, when I was visiting this month. However, it might be too expensive with 3 children's luggage. Will the Sun Princess be berthed at the OPT? RetAF98 Posted December 20, 2015 #5 Share Posted December 20, 2015 Actually Princess offers several debark excursions in Sydney. We are taking one on Jan 23 after getting off the Diamond Princess. Check the excursion listings for Sydney again, maybe you missed something, or maybe the're just not listed yet for your cruise.
ozziepost Posted December 20, 2015 #6 Share Posted December 20, 2015 The Sun Princess would normally dock at White bay. Princess usually offers debarked tours I would have a look at doing one of these.

Foxlins Posted December 20, 2015 #8 Share Posted December 20, 2015 We checked the Information Centre at the Rocks about luggage storage only a few days ago, as we were looking at doing the same thing. It was going to cost something in the vicinity of $20 per suitcase and a smaller charge for smaller luggage.

taninaus Posted January 1, 2016 #13 Share Posted January 1, 2016 there is luggage store at Central station, which is fairly central if you want to explore the city centre. charge is by the piece and based on the size and how long you were leaving it for. it is just inside the country trains area near the light rail stop area. Sitting at the airport for 8 hours does not sound like a good time! Thanks! Cruising with 3 kids, If the Sun Princess docks at White Bay as the Port schedule indicates, it is possible Princess will have transfers to Central station where you could use the luggage storage available. From there you can take a train to any of the city stations to explore the CBD and surrounding areas. Once ready to go to the airport, go back to Central Station, collect your luggage and take the airport train to the International terminal. Enjoy your trip to Australia, Leigh
