We are sailing on the Regal Princess in March with our daughter and her friend. Both girls will be 17. Are they allowed off the ship and back on at ports and the private island without us??

We haven't even decided to definitely do this, but wanted to know the policy. I'm sure in the end we will all stay together. We are fully aware of the safety issues. We were simply wondering what the 'real' policy is.

Yes they can get off by themselves.

I thought it was a very good and valid question to ask. It would certainly be a major bummer to find that the girls weren't allowed to board on their own. If the family group was on shore and the girls wanted to go back to the ship that would be a pretty bad time to find out it wasn't allowed.

Simple answer to the OP - call Princess and check their policy about any age restrictions on embarking/disembarking the ship.
