missy2662 Posted December 27, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2015 Has anyone lately been able to bring onboard a one cup travel coffee pot?
kcmspatsy Posted December 27, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 27, 2015 I seriously doubt that they would allow you to bring one on board. Coffee is almost always available 24/7. You might have to leave your cabin to get it but it should be available. Or room service will bring it to you.
critterchick Posted December 27, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 27, 2015 RCI doesn't allow you to bring a coffee pot or hot water kettle onboard. They do have them in Junior Suites or higher and on some sailings (from the UK and Australia, I believe), they have the kettles in all cabins. If you're on a ship that does those itineraries, you might ask your stateroom attendant to bring you one. I'm not a fan of having to go fetch my coffee or be woken up by room service in the morning. missy2662 Posted December 27, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted December 27, 2015 We are sailing on the Liberty of the Seas, balcony room. I would doubt a coffee pot would be in there. Just like to have coffee while getting ready.
CntPAcruiser Posted December 27, 2015 #5 Share Posted December 27, 2015 What you could do is bring a one-cup French press and your own ground coffee. Hot water is available in the Café Promenade (on many ships), and from the machine it is quite hot, enough so for brewing coffee. I have seen plastic, less breakable, "travel" French press units. Setting sail for fun Posted December 28, 2015 #9 Share Posted December 28, 2015 We just order a large pot of coffee to be delivered from Rrom Service. We are not that particular about our coffee and order it the night before.
dustball Posted December 28, 2015 #10 Share Posted December 28, 2015 I always bring a one cup coffee maker. I have it in my carry on (not hidden, but in plain sight) and have it out in the cabin. I have never had an issue.... I was surprised to see that it is not allowed, as no one has said anything to me!!
