Why is it such a late departure? Is it because of provisioning?

Smooth Sailing! :) :) :)

In the 8 years we've lived here, I can't recall anything other than late departures for the World Cruise.

It's a late departure because Copper will be there and he has lots of luggage to be loaded for a 115 day cruise. You know how these prima donna Officers are...

Well that explains it! :D

I will be in bed too. Wish I was in bed on the Amsterdam, but that is not to be.

Don't know if I'll be up to watch her depart. I'm sure it will be a silent one. I don't think the locals will appreciate a lot of horn blasting at that late hour. Some day when we win the Lotto we'll be on that cruise. We have done two segments of the world cruise from Singapore west and two years latter Singapore east. Oh well it's nice to dream. Wishing all fair winds & smooth seas, Bon Voyage.

The cut off for horns is usually around 8 or 9 unless it's foggy. If I recall correctly, we're supposed to limit ourselves to bells after dark.

The PE webcam is working right now, but not the Ft. Lauderdale one, though there is audio. They seem to be having their problems the last few days. Even if she sails out silently, it would be nice to watch her go.

Hi Lizzie68!

We have been having problems with the web cam too! Sound but HDTV stopped playing! Saw The Nieuw leave port fine, but when The Eurodam left it went black!

Hope to see something tonite!

Have a great day all!

Denise:)

Expecting to tune in to see her off. Thanks for the reminder because I forgot how late they leave, but it'll only be 9pm here, and they could possible get off earlier....

Dreaming of a world cruise some day, but the years are slipping away. Blessings to all onboard for safe and healthy travels. m--

Prinsendam seems to leave around 11:00 pm too (sadly) for her Grand Voyages. She just left late the other night.

thanks Peter for the heads up. I don't know if I will make it that late to see her go. A shame it is late at night and we won't be able to see some of our bloggers and other CC members waving good bye. They are in for a great adventure.

Being a night owl, 11 pm is the middle of the evening for me.:D Plan to watch her sail out and wave to Copper. I will miss his insights while he is at sea.

Looking forward to reading the various world cruise blogs for the next four months. They make winter a tad easier to survive (and winter has finally arrived in Virginia - UGH!).
