Reflection Martini Bar

We have the classic drink package which I understand does not cover the Martini Bar drinks.

Will they also have a regular drink menu with wines, spirits and beer that we may still drink?

I have seen a menu of their martini's but is there a menu for other drinks or do you just order what you would like.

If there is another drink menu other than the martini one, does anyone have a copy of it?

Thanks

I was on Reflection last April for 23 days with the Classic Beverage Package. Once on board, go to Customer Relations desk and ask for the printed list of what is included in Classic Package. It will list all the cocktails that are included. Last April there were about 36 cocktails listed. Martini Bar (or any lounge) will make you any one of those 36 listed with no additional charge.

What kind of drink are you looking for?

Any of the close to 1000 drink variations in the Bartenders Guide made with standard well liquors that are under $9.00 will be covered by the Classic pkg.

It is when we get all 'foo foo' with the call brands that they are not covered.

Please do not think you are restricted to just the printed list of drinks! Just about anything with the alcohol brands covered in the Classic Package can be gotten at the Martini Bar. I mean, if you personally want to drink vodka and tonic with a splash of cranberry juice (there may be a name for such a drink...) just ask the bartender at the Martini Bar (or any other bar) and you will have it.

I sometimes think people get too "hung up" on bar menus. If you just tell the bartender what you would like, they will let you know if it is included or not.

The Martini Bar will serve you just about any drink you could possibly imagine with the Classic Pkg. Exceptions are the larger martinis and top shelf booze. They also will not make blended drinks, as there are no accommodations behind the bar for those.

Enjoy!

You can get most martinis at the martini bar...just a smaller version

I think this varies from ship to ship......sailing to sailing. On our last Summit cruise folks were NOT able to get a small version Cosmo from Maritni Bar. Bar Manager stated "orders from Miami". Simple solution - they walked to the Casino Bar and got one and then came back and sat at the Martini Bar will their "small" Cosmo. Crazy, I know!

I would definitely recommend upgrading to the premium package. We sailed over Thanksgiving and found that the incremental cost was neglible for the expanded selection of cocktails, wine and coffee. Have fun!

I was able to get appletinis at the Martini Bar on the Eclipse with the Classic package. DH was able to get a beer. We were both happy. ☺

You also cannot get premium liquor with the classic package- so if you like the high end spirits- not included. If you drink for example pina colladas, Long Island Ice tea's, and usual mixed drinks- they are included.

Pelligrino and Evian H2O not included, nor are any energy drinks. We pay extra to upgrade was we are very fussy about the brand of vodka that is used in our Martini's.

Enjoy

It all depends on how many you order at one time!;)

I have a question on this topic!

We will have the Classic Alcohol Package on our 2017 Med Cruise on the Reflection, but i have a few questions!

I know at the Martini bar they make the martinis using top shelf Vodkas (Grey Goose etc), which is obviously what makes them expensive. If i were to ask the bartender to make me a martini using non-premium vodka, do you think they would allow it? We all don't drink enough to warrant the premium package (we barely drink enough to warrant the classic one but it does take the guilt away!)

We were very disappointed with the Classic Package. Not least because it became embarrassing at bars to be constantly told we weren't entitled to many drinks, especially cocktails. On our last cruise, about 75% of the 'Cocktails of the Day' weren't within the package price. At least on some other lines, if a drink isn't included in the package then you just pay the difference. Also, because each bar had menus which only showed a small selection of available cocktails (and each menu could be different) we rarely knew what was available to us, especially with cocktails. We don't stick to the same old cocktail, we like to try different things; if you don't know what's available, you can't do that. We found the Martini Bar to be the worst for this.

It's not so much the brand of vodka (they have vodkas that are part of the Classic Pkg.) but the size of the martini. The Martini Bar sometimes (depending on the ship) will sell only the large size martinis and they are only covered w/the Premium package. If you want something other than a martini, there are many, many drinks you can order at the MB that are covered under the Classic Package. The only time I have ever needed the Premium Pkg. is when I drink large martinis at the MB.

My experience is that if they have the smaller glasses, the Martini bar sometimes will make a martini that fits into the classic package....however, they will only make a simple martini, dirty martini, apple martini and a cosmopolitan. All of the above will be made with Absolut or perhaps Ketel 1 which seems to go in and out of the classic package randomly. I have never seen them serve one of their special martini's in a smaller glass.

As always a smile and recognition that they might be doing you a favor seems to help.....

You can do that on board, right? Is the difference still $10/day? And can you do it even if you got the classic package as part of the booking deal?

Thanks!

I believe with tax and gratuity it's $11.50 a day, and you can upgrade onboard. We have upgraded our free classic package every cruise and haven't regretted it.
