What do you think of the new Princess Cruise Planning Web Site?

I sure don't like, it hide the information as you go along, it mimics other confusing sites, it's difficult to do any planning, as you can't check back and forth, as you go along, like on the old and better one!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah, yuk!! It's the same idea but the options "float" in/out. Looks like it will be more time consuming to search for cruises. Where is the NO LIKE button for that!

Hmm, I wonder if you are part of their "test" case for it or if they will be rolling this out to everyone. I still have the "old" way available to me.

That's too bad. I don't like the change either

Don't care for the new selection method. The current one is efficient. I hate having to click "update" every time I make a selection. The current method has fewer clicks needed.

You don't need to click update - I dont even know why that button is there but you can see the "View X results" change every time you make a selection without clicking that update button.

Oh, I so hope they implement this.

So much easier when you want to compare various factors at the same time.

Didn't they have a similar method a few years ago. I really liked the ease of use then compared to the current model.

The old one was easier to use for me. The new one is more complicated. It was easier to just go down the list picking the things you wanted and then seeing the results. Not nearly as horrible as what CCL uses which is the pits though. I suppose they call this progress. sigh.

I really like this! It makes it so much easier! Yes, you need to go through each section of the selection process, however, it will be a change that will be easy to get used to once you understand it.

I tried it earlier this week and thought 'now they are really onto something'. I love it ... think it is a just well done.

Change is inevitable and I like the new site. Sometimes change is done for change sake and where there are choices, if the changes arent consumer oriented then people move on. Windows XP was the best PC operating system and after that pretty much rubbish. Palm Pilots of the '90's went the same way. But this is a genuine improvement.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hurrah: I see that Princess has gone back to the old (Previous) cruise planning website :D

Cato :)

Mine never took me to the new website when checking for cruise options however I prefer the new website which I can still use after bookmarking it...and now both of us are happy. :)
