Towels-Excursions?

Wondering if we need to bring beach towels for beach excursions or does the ship provide?

we buy those 2.88 thin beach towels from Walmart..they are bright, colorful and if you lose it or forget it ...oh well! They roll up nicely so as not to take up much space! Much cheaper than those towels on the ship!

We buy the cheap ones too and take them ashore - the are light weight and dry so much faster. Happy cruising!

When we took the kids I gathered up all the Carnival beach towels and put them away.

 

What is the fee now when you lose their beach towel?

A good reason to have good cheap thin beach towels for kids, you know?

 

At times I have seen Carnival beach towels scattered around the pool area that had been used and thrown aside.

 

I wondered who paid for those.

No need to lug any sort of beach towels with you and have to deal with them when they are dirty/wet!

The ship provides beach towels which when left on you bathroom floor are replaced with clean ones ... all with no effort on your part. :)

On our cruise three weeks ago upon returning to the ship you were able to swap the wet towel for a dry one on deck one just past the security scan. Had not noticed this on prior cruises.

They were doing this on my last cruise as well - I thought it was a great idea. The housekeeping staff was actually encouraging us to swap them out after we went though security. They were usually fresh out of the dryer and still warm.

We always bring some cheap towels to use and leave at the beach. As for the Carnival towels, there are always extra ones around the pool!

We discovered years ago during Spring Breaks in the Florida panhandle that a basic flat bedsheet works better on sand at the beach than any towel. So we pack one of our own (any color but white, which could be mixed-up/lost amid condo/hotel/ship laundry) - and a handtowel or two for drying our faces. With sunshine, humans dry quickly. A single shake and the bedsheet is devoid of sand easily.
