If you could change one thing about NCL....

It might help them to gain business. People like me who cannot be near smoke due to asthma or other lung problems.

I don't have any asthma or other lung issue , I just hate smoke but love blackjack . Ideally the casino would be smoke free . Until then I enjoyed HAL's non-smoking nights in the casino . I was surprised how you could barely detect a whiff of remaining odor .

I would like to see NCL limiting their promotions to something we could actually use. When you say to me " free dining option" free beverage package" then i expect it to be FREE including the 18% service charges. So limit maybe one option per cruiser and make it really FREE...just saying :D:D:D

P.S with this i am not saying that i would not pay extra for good service, but i understand that is just me.

I'd like to see an auto-sign in for the kids club. Doesn't necessarily have to be dcls Magic bands but it would be nice to see a faster process for check in.
Good idea, but since there is only limited space, they would have to set up a system where they charged those who signed their children up but then didn't bring them. I can see some parents signing their kid up everyday and then when the kid doesn't want to go, they don't call or stop by to tell them they won't be there, thus taking up a space that another child could use.

Cunard, Celebrity, and HAL certainly offer better value, and, unless they have changed significantly in recent years, I believe Princess, Royal Caribbean and even Carnival. would also offer better value. Value is not simply measured by price - it is represented by what one GETS for the price paid. Yes, NCL's posted fares are substantially lower than those charged by the above mentioned lines - but what one gets for those low fares is far less. And, once one pays all the little extras NCL tacks on, the total comes close - but the experience stil falls short.

That is just my opinion: you should try different lines and see what you like and then try to figure what you believe might be worth paying a bit more to get.

If you have the time, and any interest in my opinion about NCL, you might read my review on the Feb. 21 Gem sailing.

So I was on CCL last summer, and a couple of years before on NCL and NCL was night and day a better value. Food, service, you name it was all better on NCL (still had a great time on Carnival, but just comparing). Has it gone downhill that much in the last 3-4 years?

I believe all lines have shaved quality and added fees in the past four years, making it tough to compare "value" received this year on line X with "value" received four years ago on line Y.

In any case, "value" is in the eye of the person paying for, and receiving, it.
