Brilliance 3/12 to 3/17

Recommended Posts

We just got off Brilliance for our 22nd Anniversary cruise. It was the fastest embark and disembark ever in over 20 cruises. Tampa does it right!

I promised to report on Kronos Band and yes they are still onboard. We spoke to them and they will be on until April 26th. We also had the privilege to be onboard to see an amazing group called MO5AIC perform. That's not a typo. They performed on night 4 and thanks to some technical issues in the theatre, performed a mostly new show again on night 5, replacing the RCCL singers and dancers. No complaints here on that. MO5AIC is an amazingly talented group.

If anyone has any questions regarding Brilliance our the current staff feel free to ask. I will gladly answer all that I can.

Where does the Kronos band go after April 26th? Do they go to another ship? Or home? Our waiter said most of the employees work for 4-7 months and then go home for 1-2 months than go to same ship or another.

They will be taking some time off between contracts. They are not sure which ship they will be on next as of yet.

Glad you had a good time! I will be boarding her in Barcelona in 104 days!!

Do you know how long MO5AIC will be on board?

Did you do Traditional Dining or MTD? If MTD did you ask to keep the same table and servers each night?

Where was your cabin located?

What would you think someone new to the Brilliance would need to know?

Thanks!! :)

Thanks for the info, we also thought Kronos was an excellent band.

Just answered my own question about MO5AIC -

They are on Brilliance through the end of March, then to Anthem for April and part of May, then to Allure for the rest of May, then to Anthem for the rest of the summer.

Sad they won't be on Brilliance - they look like a group I'd actually bother trying to go and see. Oh well - I can deal with completely free evenings! :)

We had traditional dining so the same table and servers. Had a table for two by a window.

Our cabin was a corner aft balcony 9256.

Brilliance doesn't have all the fancy things of the larger ships but we still love this class of ship. It's obviously less crowded than larger ships. The Centrum is its focal point for many activities. The biggest drawback is its near the casino so the smell of cigarette smoke is very strong at times when the casino is open.

The Diamond and Concierge lounges on this ship are the nicest we have been in.

The open dining area in the rear of the WJ is always nice to sit at when the weather is good.

I was on the same cruise and had a wonderful time. Kronos was awesome! Overall, it was a great trip!

Yes indeed. It was our 22nd anniversary on this sailing and it was the best overall cruise we have ever taken . Not a single issue from the time we left Ohio . Truly blessed by this one.
