Taxi from Manhattan Cruise port to downtown hotel

Hello, I need to know if it's easy to get acab from Manhattan Cruise port. We are staying few days in NY and i'm wondering if it would be better to reserve a transfer or can wait till the disembarkment and get a cab from the terminal... Thank you in advance for your help :)

It seems like that 75% of the vehicles on the street in NYC are cabs. There are a dozen cabs on every corner. Getting a cab in NYC is probably easier than anywhere else in the world.

There will be a lot of taxis, but also a lot of disembarking passengers who want a taxi, so don't be surprised if you have to wait on line for a cab.

Good news for OP's disembarkation, the GEM is the only ship scheduled to docked at MCT where as on embarkation, both the Breakaway and the GEM will be docked at the pier.

 

There is no need to reserve a transfer (how/what) as that's unnecessary, even if there is a queue at the taxi stand, the lines move pretty quickly.

If you are not in a rush than a taxi is what I would go with.
