Rare dctravel Posted May 23, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 23, 2016 (edited) We used resort for a day dot com in Jamaica at the recommendation of our travel agent. I know they have a few choice in Nassau. It might be worth checking them out. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app Edited May 23, 2016 by dctravel
cb at sea Posted May 24, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 24, 2016 There is little reason for a "day pass" in Nassau...get a guidebook..see the public, free beaches!
evandbob Posted May 24, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 24, 2016 We are looking for a resort that offers day passes in Nassau near the ship. Can you please tell me which ones are the best as well as prices:) and any other helpful information. Thanks so much!! Research Cable Beach, about 20 mins or so from the port. Several hotels and a casino line the beach, nice stretch of sand.
Rare Jamman54 Posted May 24, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 24, 2016 There are several you can book in advance at resortforaday dot com. The British Colonial Hilton is within walking distance from the pier. Breezes and Melia are a couple of other options. They are located at cable beach which is a 15 minute cab or bus ride from the port. I have a review of the British Colonial Hilton with plenty of pics and information in my Splendor 6/29/15 review. I also have a review of Breezes with plenty of pics and information in my Fascination 3/26/16 review. Both reviews can be accessed in my signature below. Happy planning! :)
jazzygrl98 Posted May 24, 2016 #6 Share Posted May 24, 2016 We used BahamasCruiseExcursions.com and booked a day pass at Nassau Riu Beach Resort. Plenty of cabs will take you to the resort. The food was great and at the end of the day someone from the resort will hail a cab for you to get back to the ship.
Rare CruisinCrow Posted May 24, 2016 #7 Share Posted May 24, 2016 We used Island Marketing to book a day pass at RIU. There are lots of day pass options in Nassau. Do a little reading on this board and you'll find tons of information.
mjkacmom Posted May 24, 2016 #8 Share Posted May 24, 2016 There is little reason for a "day pass" in Nassau...get a guidebook..see the public, free beaches! Besides Junkanoo, which is a harbor beach, what other public beaches have access to restrooms? We've done Atlantis, Melia, and the Hilton. We preferred the Melia over the Hilton, it had really nice pools, and a much nicer beach.
