floridalover5623 Posted July 5, 2016 #51 Share Posted July 5, 2016 That's interesting. I seem to remember this being discussed before then (but it could be and am likely wrong). I get confused when folks talk about Carnival. There is the Carnival cruise line which Princess is not part of and there is the Carnival Corporation parent company in which Princess is part of. When you say it only started in 2011 are you talking about the Corporation which is all the companies or just the Carnival cruise line? I'm not really sure but told that Carnival Corp. started it in 2011 although it seems to me that it's been around longer than that. I never keep records as to my OBC so I'm not much help. All I know is that once applied for you've got it for life. I don't know if Carnival cruisers receive it or not.

sjmbruce Posted July 6, 2016 #53 Share Posted July 6, 2016 I have OBC and would like to buy an All-Inclusive Beverage Package for one person. It sounds like I will have to wait until I am onboard to use any OBC. Will I be able to buy the beverage package onboard?

AF-1 Posted July 11, 2016 Author #55 Share Posted July 11, 2016 So OBC is just what it means; to be used on board. Not pre cruise; is this correct?
WAVTAM Posted July 11, 2016 #56 Share Posted July 11, 2016 We have about 800 OBC. ......being Elite and having many coffee cards and non gamblers, was wondering after gratuities are used up~250, how can I get the remaining 550 back. Can one still play the casino slot game of putting the 550 into account , never spinning the wheel and then just cash out??????

And why not play a little, it's free $$ after all. We figure out ahead of time how much left over OBC (more or less) that we'll have. Then we go to the casino at least a couple of times during the cruise (depending on how long the cruise is), put some of the OBC in the account, play until we are winning a little or losing a little and then cash out. Go back the next day and repeat.

floridalover5623 Posted July 13, 2016 #62 Share Posted July 13, 2016 Thanks for response....is there a reason you used TWO accts.?????? Only because my wife gets some some of the OBC & I get some. Otherwise I'd only open one account. After you open a casino account you can only charge money from your own Princess account.
