I am about to take the Celebrity Solstice cruise to Alaska from Seattle on Friday, July 29. Does anyone know what the policy is in regard to bring alcohol on board?

You can also bring on water and soda. Enjoy your cruise. The Solstice is a lovely ship.

Saving Celebrity Cruises the trouble of cutting and pasting, here is the statement from the website:

Can I bring alcoholic beverages on board?

No beer or hard liquor may be brought onboard for consumption. If you wish to bring personal wine onboard with you on the day you board your cruise, you may do so, limited to two (2) 750ml bottles per stateroom. When enjoyed in any shipboard restaurant, bar or dining venue, each bottle shall be subject to a corkage fee of $25.

Just a clarification question as different cruiselines do it differently...

As a solo cruiser, may I still take the 2 bottles of wine? That is how it seems to read to me - "per stateroom".

But I have been on HAL and theirs is a one per person up to 2 per stateroom rule.

It may be a moot point as I have the beverage package included (will likely upgrade to premium on board to burn some OBC), but just in case...

Guests wishing to bring personal wine/champagne onboard with them at the beginning of the cruise may do so, limited to two (2) bottles per stateroom, but when consumed in any shipboard restaurant, bar, or dining venue, each bottle shall be subject to a corkage fee of $25.00.

Guests should be made aware that any bottles that are taken through security are subject to being searched. Security may inspect containers (water bottles, soda bottles, mouthwash, luggage etc.) and will dispose of containers holding alcohol, with the exception of the 2 bottles of wine per stateroom.
