Joe12 Posted July 27, 2016 Author #76 Share Posted July 27, 2016 Not sure if he has moved from Allure to Harmony yet, but one of those two. He's moved to Harmony now. He's onboard from June 26 until September 4.

deliver42 Posted July 27, 2016 #79 Share Posted July 27, 2016 Captain Johnny hands down. Fantastic personality Unfortunately, only sailed with him once. That was on the Mariner, when she was brand new. It seems like 100 years ago.

dmlm1995 Posted July 27, 2016 #82 Share Posted July 27, 2016 I also agree that most of the Captains are great and we are always very happy when they keep us all safe. That being said, we just sailed on the LOS and found Captain James MacDonald to be great!

We were on his last Allure sailing in April. Here, demonstrating how to sit on a lifeboat.
surf cruiser Posted July 27, 2016 #85 Share Posted July 27, 2016 (edited) Very impressed with Rick Sullivan on Explorer Alaskan cruise we just got off of. The crew loves him! Very personable and down to earth. He even came to our Meet & Mingle for pictures. At the top tier event he sang 2 songs for us and one was a song he learned in Filipino to sing to his crew. A spa employee said he had invited their team to come have breakfast with him on the bridge from 7-8 am the morning when we were at the Dawes glacier. He definitely cared for his crew. wolfcathorse Posted July 27, 2016 #86 Share Posted July 27, 2016 Seriously, I'd have to go with Tor Olsen. Played 3-card poker with him on Freedom during celebrity dealer night. lots of fun. Anyone know where he is now? His replacement was a real stick in the mud. Capt Tor is now assigned to Serenade of the Seas

Anyone know where he is now? His replacement was a real stick in the mud. I loved the fact that he came out and jammed on his guitar with the band during the late night pool deck party. He was supposed to be in the casino one night as a dealer on our cruise but they sent Michael Rasmussen instead. Very young and a little nervous, but still fun.
