4cats1house Posted July 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2016 Hello, Hoping to get some suggestions on transportation from Logan Airport to our hotel in the Back Bay area (The Midtown Hotel). We also need suggestions on transportation from the hotel to the Black Falcon cruise terminal. Thanks in advance. Marcia

4cats1house Posted July 28, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted July 28, 2016 I was hoping for shuttle ideas/companies that people have used.
138east Posted July 28, 2016 #4 Share Posted July 28, 2016 The downtown Boston hotels don't run airport shuttles. What hotel are you staying at? The easiest thing is to just take a cab. If you want to save some money, you can hop on the Silver Line, which is FREE at Logan Airport, and ride to South Station to get a cab, which will be about half the price of a cab from Logan because of the further distance, the tunnel toll, and the Logan cab surcharge. Nitemare Posted July 28, 2016 #5 Share Posted July 28, 2016 Or from the airport take the shuttle bus to the Blue Line MBTA, take that to State Street station where you switch to an Orange Line train (heading towards Forest Hills) to Mass Ave. Station where you'll have a 5 minute walk to your hotel
1025cruise Posted July 28, 2016 #6 Share Posted July 28, 2016 Most of the people who use shuttle companies to/from Logan are not going to Boston. Another option is Logan Express to the Back Bay area. But really, if you don't want to mess with public transit, just take a taxi.
4cats1house Posted August 21, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted August 21, 2016 Can anyone tell me about how much a taxi would cost from the airport to the Midtown Hotel at 220 Huntington Ave? How about from our hotel to the black falcon cruise pier? Can't decide on booking a shuttle service or just doing taxi's.
138east Posted August 21, 2016 #8 Share Posted August 21, 2016 Can anyone tell me about how much a taxi would cost from the airport to the Midtown Hotel at 220 Huntington Ave? How about from our hotel to the black falcon cruise pier? Can't decide on booking a shuttle service or just doing taxi's. I'm seeing $36 for the airport to the hotel and $21 from the hotel to the pier. If you take the free Silver Line to South Station, the estimate is $22 from South Station to te hotel. Post back for directions if you're interested in that.
Grant2000 Posted August 22, 2016 #9 Share Posted August 22, 2016 The least expensive way to get from Logan Airport into Boston to the city or nearby communities is via their subway system. We took it recently and it worked out well (if you are travelling light!). http://bostonusa.ca/transportation/

Budget Queen Posted August 22, 2016 #11 Share Posted August 22, 2016 You sure can't do any better than the free Silver Line from the Airport! And only $2.75 for the way back. I just used it again last week. Wonderful service.
jewlrybabe Posted August 27, 2016 #12 Share Posted August 27, 2016 (edited) If you are using a cab. We left the cars at my brother in laws place in Chelsea since he was going with us. We got a cab there in Chelsea. Asked to go to the port Well the cabby had no idea where Black Falcon Cruise Terminal was. Not a clue I told him to go to south station and hang a left and go towards the big boat. We all had a big laugh. Sorry I didn't fly in. but if I did I would take the silver line.
