Ladydee Posted August 9, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2016 We are a group of 10 (4 families) cruising out of Port Everglades for a Christmas cruise this December. We are staying one night pre-cruise - 2 families at Embassy Suites and 2 at Renaissance. Should we all taxi separately? Is UBER allowed at airport? Should we book a large van from a private company ahead of time? The next morning, to the cruise terminal, same questions.... Thank you!
teacherman Posted August 9, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2016 Just make it easy on yourself and take taxis. From airport to either of those hotels is about $10-15. Some hotels offer shuttles to the port, but those are about $7 per person, so a taxi would be less cost.
capriccio Posted August 9, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 9, 2016 (edited) Taxi vans and taxi sedans are the same price so 2 taxi vans should suffice for 10 people. They are easy to get at FLL. I would recommend making a taxi reservation (have the hotel front desk do it for you or call 954-777-7777) for the hotel to PE trip so you get 2 taxis at the same time. BlueHerons Posted August 10, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 10, 2016 Save your sanity and just use cabs or Uber.
CruiserBruce Posted August 10, 2016 #5 Share Posted August 10, 2016 Agree with the others. This really isn't a group of 10 traveling together. It might be two groups of 5. I would think of it that way.
