We haven't sailed yet on the Divina but I was told that a past cruisers was on the ship at 12:30pm and other cruisers were already on the ship....but I don't know for sure.

I was told that flat irons are permitted and will not be taken away. I'm not worried about that issue anymore, but I must say I was worried when I first booked.

Thanks guys, I've read a few people say they were on board for 12/1pm but I didn't know if there tickets said maybe a check in time of 12pm (like staggered boarding times) I'll head across when I'm up and out the hotel :)

Yes, 7 PM. The Divina has a large percentage of its passengers coming from Europe and Asia. I put the latter departure time down to giving those passengers some slack in flight times or adjustment to the time zone change.

Boarding also does not start until noon if all goes well. MSC does state 2 PM on the boarding documents and that five hour period (two to seven) for boarding is consistent with other cruise lines stated time of boarding and departure.

And before someone wants to post verbiage about needing to be aboard a certain amount of time before departure. It does hold true for the Divina's departure. Muster drill is held around 4:30 - 5 PM. However, there is a planned second drill for those not making the muster.

We found the Yacht Club tent (we were instructed NOT to give our luggage to a porter, and each one that asked us, we simply said, "Yacht Club" and they knew exactly where to direct us (and not ask about taking our luggage again!)). They crossed our name off the list, a tuxedo-with-tailed and white-gloved butler escorted us into the reception area for the Yacht Club.

Here's the review which valancy1 posted and you'll find the quote in post 13

Hope this helps,

From what I've read, I don't think it matters what time, although probably around 10:30 - 11 sounds about right.

Good, that's the time we usually get to the port. Later than that and we might miss lunch  in LeMuse.

Enjoy your cruise and your lunch.

I think for our cruise in Dec. we'll probably have lunch near by and then get to check in around 1:30-2. In the past, that seems to work well in Miami, we'll see.
