MtnDweller Posted September 25, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 25, 2016 There was a "Meet the Captain" dealio before formal night when we sailed the Fantasy back in February. And we got pics with the Captain when we did the Behind the Fun Tour.
Cruise-Crazy Posted September 25, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 25, 2016 They announced a "meet the captain" event on Fantasy in August. That was on formal night, also $1 off drinks.
stobe1 Posted September 25, 2016 #5 Share Posted September 25, 2016 (edited) If you ever sail the Breeze and Captain Alcaras is on rotation, you can find him at the coffee bar next to Red Frog Pub every morning around 7. I saw him there every morning because I have to have my coffee and apparently he does too and got my picture with him. I've sailed on Breeze twice now and everytime I saw him there it was like we were Norm and Cliff on Cheers. golfb4cruzing Posted September 25, 2016 #6 Share Posted September 25, 2016 Saw a cardboard cutout once. By the Casino, I think it was Capt Stubbing. Might have been Capt Kirk. But live person, last picture I got was back in 1990s on Carnival. On Princess, at the champagne waterfall, every cruise, pics with the Captain. serene56 Posted September 26, 2016 #10 Share Posted September 26, 2016 Meet and greets are usually during the Captains Night-- first formal dinner. He meets around the casino area along the promanade Thought this was every cruise

The poster was spoofing some of us here.... For those who have interest, meeting the Captain and senior staff can be very interesting and not stuffy at all. Rare sparks1093 Posted September 26, 2016 #12 Share Posted September 26, 2016 The Captain posed for pictures on the Pride (as did the CD) and I expect it will be the same on the Fascination in a few weeks.
