pbhgirlforever Posted October 11, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 11, 2016 We're sailing out of Miami on November 5th. We will be arriving at the terminal via private transportation. Is there somewhere close by (walking distance) to purchase wine and soda?
Capt_BJ Posted October 11, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 11, 2016 depends on your definition of walking distance. the port is on an island and all stores are off this island. you can walk to the mainland but you are looking at a mile or more you are much better off to stop someplace b4 you get to the port

BooBooMonkey Posted October 11, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 11, 2016 There's a CVS a block or two from Holiday inn across from Bayside. Stop there then head over. It's only a 5 min drive or so. You can see the ships from there, but I would never walk it. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare jimbo5544 Posted October 11, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 11, 2016 You cannot walk from the terminal back over the bridge, the port authority won't let you. CVS is the closest, there is a wine shop 3 blocks north as well. Sent from my iPhone

We do this often and that includes having done this on back to back cruises when we are in-transit in Miami and wanted to pick up items for the next cruise(s) and also on each of our pre-cruise stays when we just wanted to walk over to the port to see which ships are in port. skrufy Posted October 12, 2016 #8 Share Posted October 12, 2016 Ask your private transportation to make a stop for you. Then slip the driver a little extra tip for doing you a favor.
