minimum age for BVE

Princess told me you must be at least 6 months old to do a BVE.

 

I want my daughter and her four month old to come on the ship for a BVE in San Francisco this July (the baby is due in March) - it's special birthday celebration. Does anyone have any ideas or experience if I can do this? How? The Princess rep said it's a Homeland Security rule. Is there someone I can talk to?

Probably because the minimum age for cruising is 6 months on most cruise lines. And those people who are "just coming for lunch" must still adhere to passenger regulations. Including such things as passports/ID for boarding.

Princess is firm on the 6 month rule.

Doing a BVE requires the guests to do an actual booking. You can't do a booking for someone under 6 months so there is no way around the age limit.

Guess thats an excuse to book another cruise at the 6 month mark. ;)
