DONNAKG Posted November 12, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2016 We cruise mainly on Princess, which are extremely lax in their alcohol enforcement. I guess they think all us *older people* won't get too wild sneaking in any booze! Lol;) Any experiences, comments, on how Allure of the Seas handles this?.. Also Princess has a nice cigar lounge, any chance this is allowed in the casino.? We depart Nov 27 th, celebrating 13 awesome years. Does Royal Caribbean do any thing Special? Thanks for all you help- DONNAKG

normr Posted November 12, 2016 #3 Share Posted November 12, 2016 They let you bring on 2 bottles of wine per person when you board and you can bring it to the dining room and there is no corkage fee, we are on our last day on the Allure now. gerif Posted November 12, 2016 #5 Share Posted November 12, 2016 At least half the other passengers will be celebrating something. If you tell your waiter, they will sing for you. Anything else, you will have to order and pay for.
spookwife Posted November 12, 2016 #6 Share Posted November 12, 2016 Cigar smoking is not permitted in the casinos. They will enforce the no hard liquor or beer restrictions. Everyone is celebrating something. If you want anything special, you must book and pay for it yourselves. Sent from my iPad using Forums
George C Posted November 12, 2016 #7 Share Posted November 12, 2016 In past I have smuggled booze on all the major lines including Princess and RCCL, but I like the RCCL drink package so I do not find that is necessary but I still take my 2 bottles of wine. waterbug123 Posted November 13, 2016 #9 Share Posted November 13, 2016 Any experiences, comments, on how Allure of the Seas handles this?.. Also Princess has a nice cigar lounge, any chance this is allowed in the casino.? We depart Nov 27 th, celebrating 13 awesome years. Does Royal Caribbean do any thing Special? Alcohol rules are enforced. No cigars in the casino. They won't automatically do anything for birthdays or anniversaries, as there are entirely too many celebrations per cruise to do that. If you mention it to the waiter, they usually bring a slice of cake with a candle, or maybe "happy anniversary" written in chocolate on the plate or similar. If you prefer, you can order (and pay for) anniversary decorations, cake etc.
troykahack Posted November 13, 2016 #10 Share Posted November 13, 2016 Oh, please no Cigar SMOKING in the Casino. It is bad enough with cigarette smoking.
MikeBTN Posted November 14, 2016 #11 Share Posted November 14, 2016 While we're at it, why don't we start a "can two people share one drink package" thread?
sbsco Posted November 15, 2016 #12 Share Posted November 15, 2016 I had a "friend" whose wife accidently forgot her pint of Captain Morgan's in backpack in St Marteen. His daughter collected shells at beach and put in her backpack. CM made it thru, shells were confiscated and thrown in garbage except for 21. The border agent counted them. I never knew about the shells being illegal contraband.
DONNAKG Posted November 15, 2016 Author #13 Share Posted November 15, 2016 Thanks for all your info.. I also have a question on the entertainment reservations. I have them printed out , but do they also give us a voucher or ticket of some sort to get in the shows, or do we just show up? Also sound like they let cases of water on board . How about soft drinks? We are sailing on Allure on Nov 27th but could not get my countdown clock / signature to work this time.:o Donnakg

KuffMUp Posted November 15, 2016 #15 Share Posted November 15, 2016 At least half the other passengers will be celebrating something. If you tell your waiter, they will sing for you. Anything else, you will have to order and pay for. On the check in online, you can designate what you are celebrating and which day. We often take November cruises because it is our anniversary. They have always brought a small dessert for us.
Biker19 Posted November 15, 2016 #16 Share Posted November 15, 2016 Also sound like they let cases of water on board . How about soft drinks? RCI's official policy for soda is the same as water - not allowed. Enforcement of said policy seems to be non-existent.
easyboy Posted November 16, 2016 #17 Share Posted November 16, 2016 Also sound like they let cases of water on board . How about soft drinks? Unlike Princess where you have been used to being allowed to openly bring water and soda onboard, it is within the classification of non-alcoholic beverage not allowed by RCCL. However, it is not strictly enforced. Just keep it on your carry-on.
