astropilot Posted November 16, 2016 #26 Share Posted November 16, 2016 We booked out 4-8-2017 cruise on the Carnival Vista on 04-15-2015 -- 723 days - almost 2 years out.
Rare sparks1093 Posted November 16, 2016 #27 Share Posted November 16, 2016 (edited) Got one booked for summer 2018 (not on Carnival). I try to stay under two years out because that's about as far out as you can get comprehensive trip insurance that includes waivers for preexisting conditions. Depending on the cruise line and itinerary, there is often far greater value to booking immediately when itinerary is announced. Many policies will include a pre-existing condition waiver if the insurance is purchased within two weeks of the initial trip payment. (However purchasing the insurance that far from the trip itself may result in a lower premium. The insurance we purchased for our NCL Gem cruise would have been almost twice as much had we purchased the policy closer to the sail date.) Rare sparks1093 Posted November 16, 2016 #28 Share Posted November 16, 2016 We booked our Glory cruise at 628 days before the cruise. It was a spur of the moment decision because of the $49 per person deposit.

h_blond2 Posted November 16, 2016 #32 Share Posted November 16, 2016 Our cruise on the Fantasy in 2017 was booked something like 479 days out. We hadn't even taken our 2016 cruise yet, but we saw the itinerary that had Costa Maya on it, so we went ahead and booked it. We were also able to take advantage of the $50 deposits. StingRaysfan Posted November 16, 2016 #33 Share Posted November 16, 2016 We booked in June for our April 28th, 2018 cruise on the Paradise!!! It was over 600 days at the time :/. But, we are getting married on board. Usually booking for me is about a year out (if that). Sent from my iPhone using Forums
CruiseLovah82 Posted November 16, 2016 #34 Share Posted November 16, 2016 600+ days out. We have a land vacation planned for 2017 so the cruise was pushed out a bit. I hope having the cruise already booked will help with the post vacation depression when we get home from our 2017 trip.
Florings Posted November 16, 2016 #35 Share Posted November 16, 2016 Longest was 568 days. But if fall of 2018 would open up, I would book that and beat my record!

crusing48/51 Posted November 16, 2016 #37 Share Posted November 16, 2016 747?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????. That's a long wait. lol. I did not know they do Black Friday or Cyber Monday sales too. Now you got me thinking. Yes, it's a 14 day round trip Panama Canal out of Tampa. Hubby has been wanting to do this one a long time, and with the 50% reduced deposit last week, we jumped on it! lol The other one is a 15 day Hawaii from Long Beach. Gotta book them in advance to pay for them, and get the cabins we want! Hoping to score one in March 2017 on Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Fingers crossed they have a sale. PattBenatar Posted November 22, 2016 #44 Share Posted November 22, 2016 With only 7 accessible balcony rooms available on the Vista my friend and I had to get our cabins 560+days out. My PvP took a few days to even find 2 cabins that had no tenders on the Vista. Already looking for Dec 2018. We needed 2 accessible cabins.
