The East Hotel they mentioned is really nice. Sugar the rooftop bar is great. My girlfriend bartends at Quinto La Huella which is one of their restaurants/bars. It's right in Brickell Citi Centre which is spectacular.

Not many shops open yet but it's nicer than I ever anticipated.

 

Sundays at Ball & Chain, live music and happy hour starting at 4 pm. Great combination, especially now that the weather is so amazing.
